Vaccaros Pizza — Restaurant in New York

This place is incredible - no frills atmosphere but classic NYC pizzeria vibes. Their dough is perfect. They have a wide variety of great regular oven slices which are all incredibly crispy yet chewy with a perfect red sauce - the Grandma slice may be the best I've ever had. BUT - they also have a wood fired oven for smaller 12" specialty/custom pies. We just tried one of those and it did not disappoint. The crust is much softer coming from the wood oven - but perfectly toasted with the right amount of char. I'm so happy we found this place. NYC metro area has so many pizza joints and many are not very good. Vaccaro's is one of the best Ive had in all my 30 years here. They take pizza seriously...

The worst place I’ve ever got pizza from. The customer service is the worst. I tried ordering over the phone and I’m asking my kids and my wife what did they want to order. The gentleman on the phone taking my order was rude because we didn’t decide fast enough on what pizza to order. He then proceeded to reiterate the price of a pie when I specifically told him I know the price since I checked it before calling. He was already with so much attitude. My wife was so surprised of how bad the customer service was. We are trying to support mom and pop businesses and this is what I get. Burnt Pizza. First and last time I will be coming...

I haven’t been here in years but they always made the best penne a la vodka. After about 6 years, I went and picked up my favorite dish. I must admit it was not good. First of all it did not look or taste like vodka sauce at all and the chicken was hard and dry. I waited over 20 minutes to get my order even though I called it in prior.
