Velvet Brooklyn — Restaurant in New York

I recently rented out Velvet Brooklyn for a private event, and I can’t recommend this place enough! The venue was absolutely amazing. We had a fantastic time with light appetizers, delicious drinks, and a wide array of alcohol options to please everyone. The location, right next to the iconic Peter Luger Steakhouse, couldn’t have been better.

The venue itself has a cool speakeasy vibe, which was perfect for the atmosphere I wanted to create. We had a 100-inch projector screen with a slideshow, and a full DJ setup, which took the event to the next level. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout the entire evening.

A special shoutout to the owner, Phil, who was instrumental in making everything come together. He helped me plan every detail and was there on the day of the event to ensure everything ran smoothly. I had around 100 guests from out of state, and Phil made the entire process seamless.

Velvet Brooklyn hosted my birthday party in November and it was above and beyond expectation. We were in the Velvet Lounge in the back.

Firstly, the manager - Phil, responded to me within minutes of my initial inquiry which made my venue search much less burdensome. I went to check out the place and everything looked pretty good from the lounge seats to the lighting to the separate bar and bathroom for the back lounge, to the DJ equipment and sound system (to bring in your own DJ). It is a grown and sexy vibe and the velvet accents are a nice touch. You will not have to worry much about decor here - which saves time, money and mental energy.

I checked it out a few more times before the event and it felt like the venue was getting better and better every time. I hosted 45 people comfortably in the back. The bar staff was great and helpful. The food options like the wings are great. And the pricing for such a venue in the heart of Williamsburg was great. And I was able to apply a high level of creative direction in how the party looked and felt - very customized.

I had the most amazing experience at this venue for my engagement party!! Jose was incredibly professional and an absolute joy to work with!! Give this guy a raise! He deserves it 😜… We had our event on a Sunday and rented the entire venue and it was just the perfect size for my party of 75!… I had a dj come in to play all the best music… I order Finger foods in house as well as from an outside caterer and Jose managed the set up of everything along with my hostess 🤗… the staff pumped out amazing Dranks like the “Jesús special” 😉 and all the servers were sooo polite and friendly it’s like they were part of the party too!!🎉🎉💃🏾🎉🎉 This venue is an absolute must to small intimate events to bigger crowds!
