I was one of Dr. Zhou's last patients from his time at the School of Dental Medicine at the University at Buffalo. I had already been under treatment for three years, trying to resolve an impacted upper right canine that did not descend.

Dr. Zhou took over treatments as we were trying to close up a centimeter wide gap in the right front corner of my mouth that had been created in hopes of the adult canine coming down into place.

Despite mine being a very challenging case, Dr. Zhou continued to help me reach my goal of having a straight smile without any gaps. He was so kind and truly listened to what I wanted. He was also very encouraging throughout my long journey.

Finishing up my treatment took another two years, but I could not be more pleased with my results. Dr. Zhou paid such close attention to the details and alignment of my teeth.

In fact, while I was in treatment, my dentist retired. Once my braces were off, I started going to a new dentist. Before he began the exam, he looked at my x-rays and said something like, "I see you're missing one wisdom tooth." I added that I was also missing my upper right canine. Dr Zhou's work was so precise that my dentist hadn't even noticed that I was missing such a significant tooth until he had begun my examination!
