Woops! Macarons & Gifts (Port Authority NYC) — Restaurant in New York

I had arrived in New York and my original plans for a business meeting were interrupted by some logistical issues. I panicked trying to find a replacement for my original offering and starting reading reviews about client gifts close to my hotel in Manhattan. I stumbled upon Woops! Macarons and immediately called the number listed. That is when I was connected with Karen. I asked if I could urgently order 40 individually wrapped and nicely packaged macarons and could they be ready in a few hours as I needed it the same day for my presentation. She graciously offered different types of packaging ideas, and flavor combinations for what would look and taste the best. She also connected me with Pooja who contacted me via email immediately to confirm my order and pick up location. Within a few hours the macarons were ready for pick up at the Port Authority location. They were packaged beautifully, and I was so relieved and excited to display. The communication between Karen, Pooja and myself was so wonderful. Their customer service and kindness and follow up are what I was impressed with the most, and of course the delicious macarons - honestly the best I've ever had! They helped this Houstonian navigate through a very busy New York City and assured me every step of the way that all would be well. As a transplanted New Yorker, (to Holmdel, NJ) my daughters and I drive into Manhattan at a minimum of twice monthly (most month more since they all like 1:1 time). Finding the Port Authority terminal s a parking win for me, while Woops! Is a win for my three daughters. Most people would stop on their way back to NJ, but not us, it is the first stop after parking and before we begin our visits with family and friends or our day of bringing part of New York!

Last night we met Matt E, (I know from the receipt) and he IS a Macaroon officianato. As my daughter and her two friends pondered on which tantalizing flavor to place into your equally appealing packaging, Matt inquired about their favorite flavors, colors, etc. He took a sincere interest in what flavors made their taste buds pop, their likes, and dislikes, and even pondered on color choices with them. It was an education in Macarooning. His email was as infectious as the flavors and everyone left with a light airy feeling from both the purchase as well as Matt’s light and airy personality. Best macarons I have ever had, period! "Lemon Tart" has been my favorite for years but I have a new favorite now which is their "Pistachio Raspberry".

These macarons make amazing gifts especially when ordering a gift box, they are indeed more expensive than their regular boxes but come on, their gift boxes are beautiful and so worth the money! They include a magnetic closure, gold ribbon, gift bag and even tissue paper. Sometimes they even have seasonal sleeves that go on the boxes that are pretty rad! I have given these macarons as gifts before and have received nothing but great feedback.
