Came in for the hummus shake aka chickpea chiller because of veganbodegacat ! Planned on getting the strawberry flavor but decided to go for the butter pecan instead. It is VERY VERY sweet & I liked the little pecan pieces inside, a nice snack! The drink was a bit smaller than I expected but still filling. The service could have been better. I was standing at the register for about 3 minutes before being greeted. One employee was helping someone else but the other two seemed like they had a lot going on. It would have been nice to be acknowledged earlier on. Don’t think I would get the butter pecan again, but I would try a different flavor at a separate location.

I absolutely love this place!! Always fresh cut meat served. Stuffed right in front of your eyes with ample amounts of hummus. The side of stir fried vegetables with some feta cheese and topping it off with green sauce tastes heavenly. It's the place to go if you're near times square and don't want to spend a fortune on having a meal. You get a filling meal for less than $11. You just can't ask for more :)

The place is clean and ordering is not confusing. There are a lot of options for food and it's priced normally for the area. The food was ok, not the best falafel I've ever had but the food was satisfying and the servings were generous. The only thing I didn't like was that they ask you if you want pita bread on the side with your meal but don't tell you it costs extra.

TEACH YOUR EMPLOYEES TO SERVE THE CUSTOMERS BETTER AND TO ADHERE TO THEIR PREFERENCE IN FOOD SELECTION or YOU MAY RUN OUT OF BUSINESS AS A RESULT OF PEOPLE NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT OR EVER RECOMMENDING THEIR FRIENDS OR LOVED ONES. My personal experience on October 23 in the 42nd st branch of the restaurant The Pita and Hummus co. NYC: .... I will never buy from nor recommend anyone to buy food from this place or eat in ever again, and the reason for that is because the people who work there do not understand what customer service is. Their food is alright but their customer service may put them out of business eventually. In order to be a successful business , any company must be customer service oriented. Such is not the case for this restaurant unfortunately Detailing my experience: I went there to order a vegetarian plate. For the first section of food selection, your are allowed to choose one of different forms of rices. I particularly wanted a mixture of each of the two rice( Couscous and Yellow Rice) to count as one selection. This is because it makes the entire plate taste better and as I have experienced it before and wanted to again, but this time the servers nearly refused, saying I’m not allowed to have a mixture of two types of rice to count as one. I was shocked by their réponse because it was such a minor preference which only required to serve a small scoop of each. I also found their response interesting because the service is supposed to be based on the customers preference in selection, however they did not understand that. As a result of my preference they began having a rude attitude towards me. Especially the main manager who originally was going to serve me but refused, letting one of the clerks serve me instead. As a result of his manager’s behavior, the clerk too had a rude attitude while serving my food, all being because I had a preference in my selection. (Precisely because I wanted too different types of rice to count as one.) Eventually the manager came back and this time she was being sarcastically nice as a result of my comment on their customer service until she lashed out on me by saying I was rude and disrespectful in wanting a little bit of two different types of rice to count as one selection. As a result of of this I made the conscious decision to tell her that I cannot but from her or the restaurant if she will say such thing to me. I cannot invest my hard earned money into something that doesn’t serve me. I felt their behavior and their attitude towards me, their customer, was the result of the lack of training and emphasis on customer service which this restaurant and its administrators lacked. As a result of their treatment and refusal to serve me with love and respect I decided to leave to the restaurant and never buy there again. I did not take the food either which the manager pushed on the table, telling me : “you are not going to pay for it. And I don’t want you to ever come back again”. In my perspective, she did this as a form of insult towards me. But I did not reciprocate her negative attitude. I simply walked out of the restaurant without a word in response. I have decided I never buy in this restaurant again and nor will I ever recommend anyone to buy there either. I hope this review reaches the top managers of the restaurant company and they use it to improve their service or choose to ignore it and watch their...

I actually JUST ate here an hour ago and felt SO passionately about the food that I immediately got onto google to review one of the most disappointing sandwiches I’ve ever had in my entire existence. Absolutely bland and honestly didn’t taste right. You’re definitely sacrificing authenticity in this hipster vegan place in NYC so I guess it depends on what exactly you wanted when you considered eating here. Craving authentic, robust, and flavorful, food? Go to literally ANY middle eastern restaurant in Paterson, NJ and you’ll leave significantly more satisfied than you’d ever hope to be walking into hummus and pita co. But I get it, these hipster places have a lot of hype surrounding them...even I...

5 stars for the food 1 star for the service. Everytime i walk in here at night you can tell the workers are miserable and not happy to work here and they have poor customer service up to the point where i heard one worker scream at the other in Spanish for making a mistake and everyone was looking in a confused manner soo not professional. always in a rush to make your order and never give enough food for the price. You guys need to change your workers to a group of friendly people. i miss the Jamaican lady who used to work there she was very friendly and helpful need to hire her back!! Your in the middle of times square i would think service is everything in this area. Get it...
