*Tomato Rice Noodle Soup w/ Beef Slices & Enoki Mushroom Charging ~$14 for a bowl of rice noodle but they only added 2 thin slices of beef? The portion of noodle could feed 2 people, but they were skimpy with toppings. The tomato soup was very watery and flavorless. If I had to pick sth to praise, the clay pot kept the rice noodle bubbling hot lol (while the AC was so weak)
*Rice Noodle Soup with Spicy Sauce w/ Added Beed It came with a platter of 10 sides, but the dishes were weird, cheap and unauthentic. The minced pork didn’t look like minced pork at all, probably from a can. The shrimp wasn’t fresh and tiny. I was clueless why they paired rice noodle with lap cheong either. The platter came with beef, but we still ordered extra beef and was only given 4 thin slices in total. Plus the soup base wasn’t spicy enough, very diff from a traditional yunnan rice noodle broth.
*Deep Fried Tofu with Garlic Sauce STONE HARD. I couldn’t even force myself to give a second bite. The sauce was strange and tangy. It was over-fried so the tofu skin turned rough. Not to say it lacked garlic fragrance.

Read moreI don't understand what the servers do at this restaurant. They just stand there and are completely non-attentive. We have to get their attention for every single thing. One of the servers used one of our paper napkins to clean the table and left the dirty napkin there without giving us a new clean napkin. Just doesn't make sense.
Three of us ordered rice noodle soup and one one of us got the skewer hot pot. The server understood our order and discussed us at length about it. He also questioned why my friend ordered the skewer hot pot for himself. And then lo and behold, all three soups come out and no skewer hot pot. Around 15-20 min later, we asked about the skewer hot pot and turns out they never put in the skewer hot pot order at all.
We only asked because we have trauma from la queen tea house next door and their atrocious service. We went to the noodle house to avoid going to la queen tea house and turns out they are related. Both with abhorrent service. Absolutely non existent. Do not go to...
Read moreI’ve been to their Chinatown branch a few times before and was always pretty satisfied, so I decided to give the Brooklyn location a try. The food was okay, but the service felt pretty average. I had to specifically ask for a plastic fork and spoon for my young daughter, and the staff overall seemed kind of indifferent.
What really bothered me was that when I paid with my Dash card, it was pre-authorized for about 20% more than the actual bill—even though I had already tipped in cash. I’ve never had this happen at the Chinatown branch or any other place I’ve used my Dash card, so it seems to be something specific to this location’s payment system. It was a bit confusing. I hope they can make their payment process more transparent in the future so it doesn’t catch people off guard.
After this experience, I probably won’t be coming back to this Brooklyn location, and I wouldn’t...
