Every time my daughter came back from NY, she loves to visit Korean restaurants. This is a new one that she seems to like very much. So we went for her to enjoy her favorite Galbi. This place is in a shopping center in Newark, plenty of parking spaces and next to quite a few Chinese restaurants and boba drink store. We didn't have to wait to get a table although it's quite busy. We love Korean authentic restaurants. This is one of those.
My daughter ordered her favorite Galbi, quite steep in price $37, but it's big enough for her to have lunch the next day. The meat is quite tender and marinated perfectly, not too sweet nor salty. It came with rice which is nice. Excellent dish. I got my Bibimbap beef rice bowl which was excellent with all the fresh vegetables and marinated beef. The red sauce was a nice touch to the bowl. My wife like my bibimbap also. My wife loves Korean seafood boiling soup and she enjoyed every spoon of it. I do like it too with a taste. My son had Kimchi fried rice which he enjoyed tremendously. We love all the little dishes of veggies and pickles, especially the kimchi, we asked for many time. The water was extremely cold which we like from an ice bottle, unlike other restaurants. The service here is quite attentive and fast. Everyone is extremely pleasant. I'm sure when my daughter comes home, we'll be coming here again. The prices are reasonable and the food is excellent, the service is great, what else can you ask for in...
Read moreI went alone on Christmas Eve. My best friend recently passed away, and my family was out of town and I was housesitting for them for a few days before heading back to Sacramento, so I was feeling lonely and gloomy. Korean food has always had a unique way of warming and healing my heart, so I ventured out to 강 사랑 which is right by my family's place. I was greeted and served by the most amazing staff I've ever had the chance to meet at any restaurant, ever. I ordered 해물 순두부. It was full of flavor, and it was so comforting. It had big shrimp and mussels and an assortment of other yummy seafood. The tofu was just right. It and all the 반찬 tasted like home, like something my mom would make for me. I was well taken care of and fully intend to drag everyone I know here as often as I can.

Read moreThe service here is fast and expedient. They are indeed very generous with their portion of banchan and brought out a refill of the whole set of dishes eventhough we didn't ask to refill certain dishes. The banchan kimchi is very good.
We ordered combo of tofu soup, yukgaejhang noodle soup and kimchi pancake. The tofu soup were good. I love their kimchi pancake - right balance of taste to texture and very crispy. The yukgaejang comes with knive cut flour noodle but I had them replaced mine with ramen instead. The broth was ok. (I’m bias as I compared them to a much more flavorful place I had in SoCal).
Ambiance - clean and spacious. It wasn't as hot or humid as what some reviewers mentioned. Maybe because they had their front doors kept open when we were dining there and it was also a cool...
