A nice little Vietnamese Coffee Spot in Newark!
I'm glad to have found to a quality place like Lac Coffee in the area. I stopped by for my morning coffee and was immediately impressed with the easy online ordering process—my drinks were ready and waiting for a quick pickup. I tried both the Dirty Matcha Cream and the Egg Coffee, and both were delicious. You can tell they focus on quality ingredients (they said they sourced the coffee from Vietnam and matcha from Japan). The egg cream in the coffee was a particular highlight—rich and velvety without being overpowering at all. At first the maple butter matcha latte had this really delicious rich texture, however as the butter cooled it solidified which felt a little weird eating butter chunks in a drink. However, the real show stopper was the LAC. It had the perfect balance of flavors and it had a beautiful floral jasmine note that followed a nice robust coffee flavor. I would definitely recommend adding the sea salt foam as that gave the perfect balance to the whole drink. There does tend to be a long line, but it usually moves pretty quick and is...

The food is not bad at all though the prices here are slightly above average in terms of how expensive they are. I’ve been figuring out which matcha drink I wanna get since there’s many versions of them. I got the House Cream one. It’s not very sweet but that’s because I requested 25% sweetness since I don’t like drinks that are too sweet.
I heard that they serve ice cream as well. Maybe I come back...
