Me and a friend decided to come here for brunch so we decided — why not, let’s try a new place? (Especially because I was given the impression under her that this place was good). As a result, my hopes for this place were pretty high, and I had a pretty big appetite for an omelette or honestly for anything in general. However, my experience at this placed seemed quite mediocre, and while I loved the experience of the modern look of this place, the service and experience was not up to par with what I visioned it to be.
Upon entry everything seemed to be okay… we got seated rather quickly and honestly we weren’t complaining because it was right next to the door! However, in the ordering process, we were rushed and that definitely was one of the many things I was peeved about. They kept on asking us if we were ready, and I was taken aback because we weren’t given any space, compared to the rest of the patrons there. I really liked the design of the menu, as it was basic and contained quite a bit of information — very straightforward though.
Now comes the food portion — this one I was very critical of because this made my experience with this place both good and living hell at the same time. My friend got the chicken and waffles, and I got the veggie omelette (without mushrooms because I have a taste aversion to mushrooms) with a side of country potatoes and tortilla. While the chicken and waffles was good and very crunchy, I found my entree to be a little quite disappointing. The omelette in itself was fluffy and full of ingredients, but the country potatoes were very dry and barely had any moisture in them. They were way too peppered and not salted well enough — which made me had to add extra salt to get that acquired taste that I wanted. I would say the worst part was the tortillas. I shouldn’t be a big critic of this, but if you’re trying to do American-Mexican fusion brunch like this, at least… toast your tortillas like every other taqueria or panadería would? My tortillas came really dry and cold. There was no burn marks, and the tortillas tasted like straight cardboard.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was very modern and sleek, which did elevate the experience just a little bit. I admire how much effort they put into making it feel vibrant enough for people to enjoy a good meal.
Overall, would I come back here? If they improve their food quality and their customer service, I would come back. But I probably will not be back in the...
Read moreHad breakfast here the day after an event in Santa Clara with my daughter and two of her friends. The Cafe was very clean and uncluttered, with a beautiful display of hanging plants as a sort of separating wall between the counter area and the dining area. The service was good and our server was very friendly, attentive, and to the point even if a bit hard to understand with her very thick accent. The food was well presented, the Matcha drinks as pretty as they were delicious, and the plates and glasses were uniquely shaped adding to the experience.
One complaint would be that my daughter's meal was served much sooner than the rest of our meals as it was a simpler recipe. And because she politely waited to eat until we were served, her eggs were cold and her avocado toast was quite soggy by the time our meals came and we began eating. She only enjoyed only a few bites which is a shame because it was so beautiful and vibrantly colored and the ingredients of all our meals were fresh and of premium quality. Along with which came a pretty hefty bill...🫨

Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant due to the unprofessional behavior of the owner, who refused to provide her name when asked. My group was next in line and politely requested to be seated at an available table rather than being squeezed into a booth. We were told that both the table and booth seated four, and that we would need to wait for the booth—despite the fact that a table was ready and the booth wasn’t. This made little sense, as we were supposedly being offered the "next available seating," but were passed over in favor of a group that arrived after us. When I asked to speak with a manager to clarify the situation before the other group was seated, the owner arrived, took the menus, and seated them anyway—completely ignoring our request. Her attitude was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Honestly, I’m glad we didn’t end up eating there. The place didn’t seem all that clean to begin with, and based on how we were treated, I have no...
