The pizza is good. They're so simply made, they really can't be messed up. The staff is generally good. But when it comes to pick up....Today, they gave one guy's pizza to another customer. Then, one mumbling worker handed me two pizzas--I let him know I'd only ordered one. So, based on this and past experiences, they need to work on being more organized once the pizzas are cooked and ready for pick up.
--Update 8/2/17. I went in there today after work. Strangely the place was pretty empty. Before I ordered, I asked if they had bags for the pizzas. I was told yes. So I ordered, waited to pay (as they seemed short-staffed). Then I asked for a bag. The cashier said something about the bag not being big enough for the pizza. I explained I was told they had the larger bags. (I'd been shopping and needed to have a bag for the pizza to get it and my other bags on the bus.) I paid. And then asked the pizza maker if there were large bags. The cashier then yells across the store to another worker, "She keep talking about she was here before and they gave her a large bag." The "she" was me, and she sounded so ignorant. I told her as much. You just don't talk about a customer that way. Especially in front of the customer. She didn't seem to know better, poor thing. Talking like she's hanging out on her front stoop or something. Then another worker appeared and simply handed me a large bag. Simple All that nonsense for a bag. That cashier turned a simple thing into an event, in a very low-class way. So I'm done with Blaze Pizza. Today was simply stupid. I don't spend my $ where people don't know how to treat customers. Or don't know what a large...
Read moreI have a lot of food allergies and was hesitant. Ordering online was easy. I appreciated that there were items labeled gluten free, vegan, and keto. A lot of keto friendly breads have egg which isn’t vegan so it was nice to see these guys understood the difference. Did a build your own vegan 11” gluten free crust with vegan cheese and veggies. First impression was “why does the crust look burnt?” Arrived early for my pickup order. I was relieved when the employee cooking and cutting the pies showed me that they use separate cutting tools for the gluten free pies. Just another step towards reducing cross contamination. Yay! First, bite? Amazing! The crust wasn’t burnt. When I looked at the bottom it was golden brown. Thin crust, fresh toppings, not soggy. Basically the kind of pizza I would expect from an Italian restaurant specializing in pizzas. Every bit was satisfying and I only wish they had a vegan gluten free thick crust option as well. If you like thin crust that isn’t droopy and flavorful sauce then this place will not disappoint. Side note: they are generous with the toppings. They didn’t overdo it and I didn’t feel like I could count the number of veggies on my pie. Highly...
Read moreThis is hands down the best Blaze location and they should be provided with additional compensation for going above and beyond the job! I ordered via Uber Eats and had a horrible experience. I called and spoke with Erica (who by far is the most pleasant person I’ve encountered over the phone) her standard of customer service made me smile when I was extremely frustrated about my missing order. I came to the store days later and was immediately greeted as I walked in once I began to place my order I realized it was Erica. She is as sweet & professional in person as she is over the phone. It was a pleasure to meet her. She apologized again to me about my order and made my in person visit outstanding. She should most certainly be promoted. I called today after placing another Uber eats order and spoke to the GM who was also so professional and provided such great customer service. He made sure my order was secure and it taste so amazing once we received it via Uber eats. THANK YOU ALL AT THIS NEWARK LOCATION!!!! You do an amazing job representing the brand & the city of Newark. I am a regular and will always return to this...
