Hey, guess what? I finally checked out MNCHS Kitchen tonight after hearing so many people rave about it. I have to say, I ended up feeling a bit let down. But hey, let's start with the positives! First off, their marketing is on point. I also love how extensive their menu is, and their website and user interface are top-notch. Kudos to them for that! Now, onto the food. To be honest, it was a bit too salty for my liking. I've worked in restaurants before and from my experience, the amount of salt used tends to vary based on the cook's taste. Unfortunately, my Birria burrito was just too salty to finish. The dishes were cooked well, it's just that the flavors seemed either absent or overshadowed by the excessive saltiness. Even the Queso dip was on the salty side. A lot of the food items seemed to come from GFS which tends to be on the lower end of quality. Despite my disappointment tonight, I really do want to like this place. I'll definitely give it another shot in the future. However, at the moment, I wouldn't say anything we had tonight blew me away enough to recommend it considering the price. If you're looking for similarly priced options with incredible flavors, I'd suggest trying Pocho's Cocina or Mariposa instead.

There is no signage on the outside yet, but if you look closely in the window you will see their name on an old marquee sign. Opening the door you are hit immediately with the smells of soul satisfying yummyness! They have menus to browse, order at the counter. The inside was very comfortable and decorated with amazing wall art. We ordered two double smash burgers, and seven tacos for the four of us. The two of us with burgers both agree they are as good as hamburgers get. They are two smash patties with cheese ( the most excellent gooey kind), pickles onion and sauce that came on the side and was very tasty. The tacos ordered were shrimp, carnitas (pork), and carne asada (steak) all were loved and heralded as amazing with the shrimp taco coming out slightly ahead. This is a most wonderful place and we will be driving back to Newark soon just to eat there.

I ate here yesterday for the first time and I was truly blown away. It was insanely delicious and honestly exceeded my expectations. I’ve had top rated Mexican cuisine all over the country and this is definitely top tier. The menu has the perfect range of variety without being overwhelming. The staff is legendary. Making the food fast and fantastic, but also answering all my tedious questions and making the perfect recommendations. I had the carnitas, carne asada, and the much talked about birria tacos. Also with a side of chips, guac, and salsa. The explosion of flavors was a delightful ride with each bite. You can tell instantly the ingredients are high quality and fresh. The birria taco absolutely lived up to the hype. But it will be impossible to go to that place without getting the carnitas. I usually only enjoy quac about 10% of the time I order it when dining out. I could not stop eating the quac from here. They don’t overdue it, but also make it so special I cant figure out what it is. The salsa was just as great and was a nice pairing with the quac. The chips were very fresh and had the perfect amount of salt. As a bonus, the outdoor seating is incredibly cozy. The seats are large and very comfortable, making you want to stay way too long. The price is very reasonable as well. Overall I just had the perfect experience. I enjoyed every single bite of everything so much. I cant wait to go again and eventually have everything...

I ordered a chicken quesadilla for lunch. It was ok. The chicken tasted canned. The cost was $15. I honestly will not buy it again for that price just because it tasted like canned chicken, just seems too expensive for what you get. Updated my review. Will not be back due to rude response from owner. They can't take any criticism. The chicken tasted and looked canned, regardless of if you say it is grilled fresh. BEWARE that if you post anything that the owners don't like you will have your name slandered all over their social media which in turn leads to their followers sending awful private messages. This has been the worst experience I have ever dealt with in my life with a business all over a 4 star review. Owner has been asked repeatedly to cease contact. When she posted my review AGAIN after deleting the original one is when I reported her to the BBB and requested that she delete me off of their social media since she posted me again, because at that point there was no reasoning with her and sending a message to request her to take it down would have lead to more issues. At some point this has to stop. It's been blown out of proportion over my original 4 star review. I'm only editing this because she decided to get on here and edit her reply again to that she looks like the victim in the situation. This is the last I will be posting of the situation. People will believe who they want...
