I booked a suite for the night before and the night of my wedding. I had a large bridal party and so we were all getting ready here the day of the wedding and then my husband and I would stay the night of. Well, we checked in the Friday of, and as soon as my bridesmaid and I walked in, the room smelled so bad of stale Chinese food it was almost unbearable. We looked past it, sprayed some room spray, and continued on. We set our stuff down got ready for the rehearsal and left. Later that night myself and 3 bridesmaids came back to settle in and get some sleep. We had called down to get some more blankets and pillows and the lady brings some up, forgets the pillows but brings some comforters all balled up in her arms. My friend takes one from her and as she opens it up to use it a huge centipede silverfish thing jumps out and starts crawling. Then, we go to pull the couch bed out and the couch is covered in spot like stains that we didn't even want to think about where they came from! Still trying To make the best of this, my friend was in bed and I'm about to get in bed, it's about 1:00 in the morning I believe at this point, and, I pull the covers back and there are bugs on the pillow on the corner of the mattress and on top of the sheet! Our stuff had been in there all day! So we hurried up and packed our things and ran downstairs. As I told the nightshift employee, her response was super alarming... not, "oh my Gosh I am so sorry!" But instead, "yeah, it's really hard to keep up with them when people bring them in..." I'm sorry what? Did she know they were in there? So she tried to find us somewhere else to stay after I shoved 4 car loads of stuff into my car including my wedding dress... the only place that had a room was the Granville inn, but they could only accommodate us until 11am the next day, which, as I stated, we were supposed to be getting ready there for the wedding, so that wasn't going to work. Then, she offers a solution, "how about you go to the Granville inn, get some sleep, and then start getting ready there... and at 11 when they make you leave, just pack up and move over here and you can use our conference room to finish getting ready...I can assure you our buckeye room doesn't have bed bugs." Wow. Because, on my wedding day, that's what I'd like to do, get half ready then move 9 bridesmaids, a flower girl, 2 hairdressers, a makeup artist, and a photographer from Granville to Newark and then back for the wedding. We ended up driving clear over to the other side of Columbus at about 2:30 am to stay in my friends apartment and then had to wake up super early and make my apartment photo ready, as this was our only option. I can't even begin to tell you the amount of stress this caused for my wedding day. Not only did I get about an hour of sleep, I threw everything away that I had in the room with me, with the exception of my wedding dress, because it was in a bag. I wish I could post a video for you to see, so that you would have proof rather than reading this and then reading the hotels response which will I'm sure say nothing was found. Just beware. I was embarrassed bc I booked this hotel pretty far in advance, thinking from past experiences this would be such a nice hotel to get ready in the day of. Boy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOh where to start. Most of my complaints revolve around the very poor maid service. Our room was not vacuumed, our bathroom was not swept or mopped. I found the last persons trash and jewelry on the floor. No toilet paper on the roll. The tub was dirty, and they only gave you soap/shampoo & towles for 1 person. SERIOUSLY, when you book a room with 2 queens in it, it is not because you feel your clothes need a bed. It is generally understood there will be 2 guests MINIMALLY for 2 beds. Leaving supplies for 2 people MINIMALLY sounds like common sense. Worst of all (in my mind), I was up at dawn. Not because of noise, but because they have makeshift cheap, & tacky curtains that do not close. There were 5 small pannels, (3 of which were short, 2 were long on the sides) for 2 windows... 2! To make matters worse the removed the ice machines or turned them off. They also removed all the soda machines you'd expect to find on your hotel floors. You now are forced to buy starbucks on site, or pay 4 times the cost of the product at their "pantry" at the front desk. The pantry makes this hotel look like they are trying to be a tacky gas station, you never find one of these in a nice hotel for a reason. They are inconvenient, overpriced, & tacky. What a horrible way to totally rip off your customers. The rip off doesn't stop there...In your room they have a mini fridge to keep your $6, 20 oz soda cold. However, there is no microwave to reheat food and avoid eating at their on site restaurant (who's prices are way too high...over $3 per egg + tax & tip... one egg, nothing else!). The only reason I gave a 2 star review and not negative 10, is because the manager checked us out. She was curtious, apologetic, and said she would speak to the staff before they cleaned. She made me feel like she listened and cared. We left early in the morning, because well we were up at dawn. However, she did refund the one day we stayed there when she heard of all the problems. A professional manager that tries to accurately handle a bad situation gets at least 2 stars in my book. It didn't make me like the stay there but it did end my stay on a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor a place that has bedbug in almost all hotels this place is not bad. No bugs, confortable, clean beds to sleep in and very nice and caring employees, surpise to have quiet too. They really have consideration for your sleep in this very cozy solid structure of a building as well. Impressed with it, and knowing that we have a quiet place somewhere in this town makes me even a little more optimistic about going back to online college maybe. I get trouble with being popular at home, but I do love my friends. Hope the place can manage a little bit more bussiness with the need to hear the noisy skitzo pysco scream or shatter glass in a nice hotel for people that really need their sleep... Or just a REAL quiet place... Not like a library was my sleeping place but school was just really hard to believe from someone who was just not serious about i guess work! Why i need quiet to sleep i will never know.... Lol thanks. I don't regret my stay. I didn't get to sleep but I know who and why I am followed now. Next time I may have to turn this location history thing in and take a break from my business buster police work, as serious as I am about my possitive side and that's no lie... I have poparazzi peanut gallery that must be a part of my road crew for my fantasy band pick this coming season because i dont get the papa im razzi with any respectful outlook on my life. I dont think any people should have to hide in a place like a hotel. What you do is not for anyone's entertainment where you are trying to find peace. That's the important part i thought about it from the beginning of my problems with my little apartment with the thin walls and think no body is really that big of deal to anybody while all they do is make their mark on your map. Lmao why did people get so interested in what I guess I had to say? I make no sense to talk about it to them!šš·š¼š“ššÆ Thanks for the perfect emojis suggestions Google!! šš¤ I have a...
