Large - it's got a lot of rooms of media (books, movies, cds, records, kids books and kid's area) over two floors. Very wide selection. One thing that is super cool is that there is so much Ohio and local history books right at the front of the store. I highly recommend this place for general book hunting, but just wanted to shout them out for folks seeking local history and information. There are 2 feline ambassadors. They are a goodest girl and a goodest boy. Only 2 gripes are boxes along the stairs near a decommissioned stair/chairlift. Should probably clean up the egresses for safety purposes. Some sections could be organized better. The place is large so if this is run by only a few folks, I can see why it would get mixed up easily so please return things where you pulled them from. I think sometimes people get into the habit of treating every store like it's a big chain like Best Buy, where theres 10,000 employees running around begging for something to do. Last, I noticed the framed thing from the Columbus Dispatch says Colunbus Dispatch (with an n instead). Just fyi.

Cute and eclectic bookshop with lots of rooms to explore including a 2nd floor. Some parts were organized while other areas seemed like chaos but that is just how a used book store should be. We appreciated that you can see this is a supportive and safe space right as you walk in the door. Loved their selection of book blind dates. They were clearly put together by someone who loves crafting.

This is the cutest indie bookstore! The employees are so kind and welcoming, there are a variety of both used and new options, and it is kid-friendly. The decorations throughout were fun and they even had a few treats up for grabs. We’ve been here a few times before and already can’t wait to come back.

I love supporting small businesses, especially when they are LGBTQIA friendly. I've been wanting to go for ages but our visit was was utterly disappointing! We walked in the door and were greeted by a beautiful dilute tortie cat but ignored by the clerk behind the counter. We browsed downstairs for about ten minutes and not a single employee approached us or even said hello. At least the kitty was friendly. We went upstairs where we met a handsome tuxedo cat who showed us around and chewed on my shoelaces. We only stayed about twenty minutes and ended up leaving without purchasing anything. There appeared to be two people working but they both did a great job at keeping away and avoiding eye contact. That's a great way to lose potential customers. I'm giving two stars because the cats were sweet so it wasn't a complete...

I am new to the Newark area and have been utterly delighted with Kicks Mix bookstore. They have a wonderful selection of new and used books. Also the used book prices are incredibly low. If a book is not in-stock, they have been able to special order it for me. The book was in my hands very quickly afterward. So top-notch service all around.

Overall, Diana is a wonderful owner, and I will admit to swinging by just to see the bookstore cats Margaret and Edgar on my lunch breaks. I appreciate that Kicks Mix allows me to shop locally, support a small business, and pet a cat or 2, all in one fell swoop. The only reason this is a 5 star review is that I...
