Raider's Delicious Spot deli & grocery — Restaurant in Newark

Eating here is such a comfortable experience. The family dynamic of the chefs and the man at the register makes the place feel like I'm at home. I've never had this experience at a deli before or even any restaurant. A sandwich called "The Hallen" is so good. The chicken cutlet is fresh. The mozzarella is NOT watery and pulls apart from the sandwich as if it is in a commercial. The ingredients there are fresh, and you can see how clean everything is. The dining area is quiet and well laid out with shelf-like tables running along the walls for a nice solo dining experience. I appreciate that we get a free can of drink if we order a "Hero" size for the sandwich. And the drink selection is massive. This is one of the best dining experiences on the Rutgers Newark Campus.
