Could not order. Could not pay. The airport has thousands (6,000?) of iPads, placed at every table seat (at restaurants, at gates, etc.). Thing is, they might as well be cardboard signs, because you can't order from them! You hafta scan the QR code and do it all manually from your phone!
Well, at least they offer PayPal. I set up my order, went to my cart to complete the order, clicked on the PayPal button, and... It tried to load the next page (PP login, presumably), blinked the screen, and reverted to the choose payment page. A helpful staff member came by to help, tried the same thing on her phone, and... Nothing. Screen blinks and keeps you on the choose payment page. You can't order food from a human, can't use mobile pay, you can't tap your card, you hafta enter your card to a glitchy web page, digit by digit, expiration, cvc code. Much modern! Very future! 🙄
Never mind. I'll go to the marketplace thing where you can at least swipe a card (and hope no one is skimming ya)... What a waste of electricity to just display a QR code to a damn website. Oh, and ads, of course. Too bad, that breakfast stromboli...
Read moreWe wanted to get pizza and ordered a sausage Sicilian pie. Before everything, we had to get it stamped from an employee; at this rate, they might as well not make it a self service and make it a regular kiosk. I waited for a text since it gave me the option to do so. Asked the lady serving and she said that they don’t make that kind of pizza (square), only traditional pizza. I understand she tried her best to tell me that they don’t serve that at the time (they serve it at the morning), it felt ridiculous that it was on the menu when they can’t make it. Overall, it took so long and was a hassle for a mediocre tasting pizza. Sam’s club and Costco have better and cheaper pizza than this place. A full box of pizza costs $30 here, and one slice is roughly $6. Overall, it’s not worth it. Frankly, not a lot of food in the airport...
Read moreMost convoluted process to order a single slice of pizza in my life. The staff rudely reminded me that I couldn't just order. When I figured out how to actually order, they spent a few minutes screwing around on their phone before actually putting the pizza in the oven.
Then while I was waiting another customer came up, asked to get a pizza bypassing the ordering process, and they did it instantly for them!
I guess next time I just have to rudely interrupt them instead of trying to not cause any problems and following the process. But there won't be a next time because the pizza was terrible and I couldn't finish it. And that's coming from someone who pretty much eats anything.
I'll throw in an extra star because I was hungry and it did the job. Given the current average of 1.8 stars, they should be...
