The Happy Clam — Restaurant in Newark

I was at the airport on Jan 2. I ordered food to go in the mini market that they have because I didn't have enough time to eat there. However while I was waiting my flight was delayed. I went to the bar to ordered a tea and I decided to eat there. I asked the waitress for ice because my tea was so hot. She refused to give me the ice and told me I can't eat there and and I have to leave now. I thought maybe they would be a different places. But no, it was the same place. I asked other waiter for ice. He gave it to me and the same woman came to tell him that he don't have to give me nothing. She looked pretty upset and with a really bad actitud. When I notice that I was in the same place I talked to another person that I suppose is the manager and he told me I have to leave because my order was togo and the tea is not enough to sit there. I leave but I have to said that it is absolutely ridiculous. I understand the servers earn tips and also that customer service could be really difficult. But is no way that you can justify that kind of attitude. I don't recommend this place at all. Terrible experience...

BEWARE THIS PLACE WILL OVERCHARGE YOU!!! I visited this place on 8/15/25 to order a snack and drinks. When I sat down, the waitress asked for my cell phone number and took my credit card info. I told her I did not want to store my personal information. Immediately I got a text message stating that a tab was opened with my card. I did not authorize this. The fries were dry, the drinks were way overpriced, and service was subpar. When I went to pay, the waitress informed that I didn’t need to do anything because tip was included. Well, I would not have tipped them 18% for that service. When I looked at my credit card statement, I saw that they charged me two times with an 18% tip on both of those charges. Very dissatisfied with customer service. Mini mart’s layout is not customer and user friendly as the cashier stands right over your shoulder as you insert your card into the machine… ordered a sandwich that took more than 30 minutes to prepare and when I got a notification on my phone to pick up my order, the line for pick up was very misleading, and I believe the cashier made me double pay and pick up a single sandwich! Stood around the kitchen as directed by the cashier for 12 minutes until someone asked me and they told me they gave away my order!!! They allegedly called me but in those 12 minutes I was standing close to the kitchen, no one called my name or order number!!! Passengers there are other options on the C terminal, go to those...
