Vitality Bowls — Restaurant in Newark

My association with "Vitality bowls" was like healthy food. and the cafe in the Newark location just disappointed me in all aspects. I made an order for 200 dollars an hour and a half in advance. In the order I chose gluten free wraps, added grilled chicken and avocado to all 6 wraps. but, having arrived on time for the order, I waited plus 25 minutes. My order was not ready, they finished it in front of me. The eggs were cooked in the microwave, the tortillas were completely raw, the chicken was boiled and without avocado. There were very few ingredients and everything stuck together as it turned out, because the tortilla was raw. Earlier I always took morning glory wrap in Fremont and there I fell in love with this cuisine. But here in Newark there is complete chaos in terms of cooking, punctuality. the level of cooks is low! I strongly advise against wasting time and money...

The main products are the bowls and they ain’t right. The Acai is flavored one is a blend of some sort, and the cacao flavored one does not taste like cacao but just Hershey’s chocolate syrup. When mixed together the hersheys overpowers the Acai. If I wanted that I’d just gone to Safeway. Also if you want 3 toppings you gotta pay extra.

When using actual cacao flavor, not this syrupy glob, the slight bitterness mixes really well with the Acai flavor. Been to multiple places in Irvine, where cost of living is the same, and they’re able to get it right, w/ almost unlimited toppings, same price, w/ a 3.5in height bowl for medium vs this place w/ a 2in bowl for a medium.

I’ve still yet to find a decent Acai place in the Bay Area.

Too expensive! Their avocado toast was cold, avocado wasn't fresh, and it was too salty. $4.99 for that piece of bread cut in half and swiped with pre-made avocado? That was a mistake. Make this better, you fools! Lady in change of taking orders saw I was waiting impatiently for the toast, told me annoyingly "your bread is still toasting" then when I got it it's cold. 😠 She basically prepared all other people's bowl orders before serving me the toast. What a liar. I would not...
