Momijis Sushi Bar & Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Newberg

I am absolutely disgusted by this establishment. Tonight We had the Sir Shrimp a-lot, double sexy, and two orders of California rolls. Everything was good except one order of California rolls as you can see the avocado looks almost black in the pictures. I ate one and it did not taste fresh at all. I had my husband try one and he agreed. It was nasty. I talked to the server and she brought a avocado with her bare hands and said see we use this it had slices taken out. She then proceeded to hand the avocado back to the chefs at no point was she wearing gloves, nor did we see her wash hands, and handed it back for the chefs to use. (She takes orders touches register and various items.)She did not offer any replacement? We did not ask for our money back but we did not get a sorry or a replacement of fresh California rolls. I did not ask for anything but I sure felt they should have offered something given they tasted disgusting and I complained. We paid full price and just left. I will not recommend this place ever again. Staff needs to learn to wash hands and food should not go out on floor then back on the line. If something taste wrong just replace the pieces. This is my very first review ever (sadly it’s negative). Not worth the inexpensive price. I just ordered a lunch special and an additional roll. The valentine roll and spicy mango rolls both have a sauce that’s spicy, as expected. However I didn’t expect both of the rolls to be almost completely slathered in this overpowering, bright red sauce that could best be compared to what looks and smells like ketchup with a hint of spice. It completely killed my palate and made the food almost impossible to eat and I might just have to throw it out. The Boston roll was ok so I’ll let eat that, but the rest is going in the trash. I’m also confused about the gumminess of the rice. It’s taking me forever to chew. I almost feel bad to post this because I can see that many other people have enjoyed the food here. Maybe...

I swear it's the worst sushi I've ever had in my entire life. I travel a lot but the level of this restaurant is really makes me feel cheated, sushi chefs is very unprofessional, through chat experience learned that he was only three months, I ordered a caterpillar roll the size of that makes me very disappointed, and no eel in the roll. my husband ordered a sushi combo,no fresh fish, all tuna are fake. rice taste not authentic, feeling is left over two days ago. The Fried rolls were very hard, there were basically no fish in it, only thick rice, The sushi here is not enjoyable, it's just keep you fed,because it's all rice. We think it's too expensive for the low quality fish. Never back again!!!!
