One of the most baffeling and rude experiences I've ever encountered happened at this Dunkins location.
My family and I stopped in the drive thru to order a few drinks and sandwiches on our way to Boston. It was busy as usual at this location (around noon), so we all pre-planned our orders to try and make it easier for the employee on the mic. We shouldn't have, though, as were met with perhaps the most miserable, rude employee I've ever met at a Dunks.
Speaker turns on, we're immediately met with a "...What do you want?" with all the crushing dread only possible from a person who's been dealing with the public all day. I get it. Been there. It's busy. Besides, this is MA, not Disney World. Wouldn't have thought anything of it if that was it. God forbid. Needless to say, the attitude kept rolling in, with her asking after every item "That's it?" with the verbal tone equivalent of an eyeroll. It's not like we were leaving long pauses and annoying the womenâshe didn't even leave a breath before asking it EVERY TIME. And as we're ordering our last drink of 3,âhalfway through my drink order she starts yelling through the speaker "No! ...NO!", stunning me into a silence. If I recall, it was because I mistakenly asked for cream in my cappuccino, whichâyes, I'm aware that's not something they doâbut to be cut off by an employee literally YELLING through the mic at me was... well, welcoming wouldn't be the word. My poor mother in the car was staring at me and my brother wide-eyed the whole time in sheer disbelief. It felt like we were being pranked.
When we get to the window, the woman essentially just thrust the food in the direction of our window without saying a word. "Oh, is this the two breakfast sandwiches?" No reply. "Thank you!" No reply. Drinks were handed off to us by a different person. I honest-to-God don't know what we did to make this lady so peeved, but tbh, I'm in no hurry to figure it out. With 3 Dunkin locations within 5 minutes of each other here in Newburyport, I see no reason to return to this pocket...
Read moreI have always enjoyed going to this particular Dunkinâ Donuts, however today I had a different experience when I came in to order some breakfast sandwiches with my friend. There was very loud yelling coming from all of the workers that was echoing throughout the whole store. We waited extra long in line for someone to finally come to the cash register to take our orders, alongside the only other customer in the store. As my friend went to order first she was unable to order her food as the two employees standing behind the counter bickered about whoâs two dollars had landed on the ground. There was also more yelling between people back in the kitchen and with the people taking her order. After having to repeat herself multiple times because of the employees lack of attention she finally managed to complete the order. Once it was my turn I had a similar problem as the debate of the two dollars continued, which had now been going on for at least five minutes. The unprofessionalism continued as we noticed all of them were eating and taking breaks to try the new donut fries, all of which was happening as more customers filed in to get their orders taken, but were greeted with a long line of people who had been waiting for several minutes as there was once again no one at the cash register. On top of everything else we also observed multiple other customers getting wrong orders. Overall bad experience and although I adore the particular location and will start going to the Dunkins down the street in hopes of finding adequate...
Read moreThis place consistently has the worst service of any Dunkin's I've been to. The staff seem lovely, but more than half the time I go (and I order ahead online) I have to wait an inordinate amount of time for my coffee (just regular hot coffee with milk ), someone else takes it, or the order is somehow lost or placed in the wrong area.
I say this as someone who worked at Dunks myself and have worked since I was 14, at one point more than 3 jobs. When I am paying for my coffee I expect the order to be correct, timely, and not misplaced at least 50% of the time. I don't think that's an unreasonable expectation, even "in covid" (covids not going away folks).
Ive never left a bad review on a dunks but this one is so bad I feel the need to share. I try to avoid going there but it is very convenient to work.
Again nothing against the staff, they're pleasant, but the experience could definitely...
