Starbucks — Restaurant in Newington

I usually get good service from this location and most of the time I have no complaints but always check your transactions after paying with a card, I went in today and was told my total was 7.14 the cashier took my card through the window And I noticed her pushing multiple buttons on the car reader and 98% of the times they reach the card reader and you insert your own card and have the option to tip, so I was a little uncomfortable when they took my card because the last time my card was taken inside to be charged a few days later my card was hacked and I had multiple fraudulent charges so I'm a little more cautious now, any how when I pulled off and checked my bank app I was charged 15.33 I went back in and the manager was horrible and basically told me she couldn't help me I had to give back my drink in order to get half of my money back, I had to contact corporate to get it resolved, the general manager was amazing and handled it great! I went at about 7 AM on a Wednesday and was very disappointed to find the seating are not all that clean. We both had to switch chairs because of food stuck to the seat of our chairs and many of the tables still had remnants on them. Not what i have come to expect at a Starbucks, especially not this one. In addition, while i appreciate that the personnel are working hard, is it really necessary to make so much noise? I go there to have a great coffee and relax. Nothing relaxing about all that noise. Very disappointed today. Went through drive through. Ordered tall coffee. When I took my coffee, the lid came off and coffee spilled all over my car and me. Thank heavens it was barely lukewarm or I would have gotten burned for sure. Staff has to be very careful to put lids on tightly. That leads me to my next concern - my coffee was lukewarm. There is no excuse for that. If I drove away and then tasted the coffee I just spent over $3.00 for and it was lukewarm, I would have been upset.
