I am going through the worst experience in my life my debit card was compromised how how. The person or people bought a ps5 online they were able to get it through punk on there car without me or my license to show proof I made a police report and the officer J backman went to the store to investigate and that's how I found out that the people picked it up through there car how the hell did they allow that without me being present. Worst of all I have a best buy card which is what I use to buy in the store or online. I have large purchases in best buy but all through my credit card not my debit card. I called immediately when it happened the best buy support was horrible I called a bunch of times and they gave me a casa number which I gave to my financial institution with the police case number and best buy doesn't want to return my money listen look up my account I already purchased a ps5 for her birthday through my credit card 2 years ago I also bought her the apple watch the iPhone the Nintendo switch through the best buy credit card for which im still making payments so why the heck would u buy another ps5 through my debit card helllooooooo... investigate before making judgements BESTBUY. I REGRET EVER DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM.......I HAVE SPENT SO MUCH MONEYBON MY CREDIT CARD AND HAVE PAID EVERY SINGLE PENNY.....I DONT HAVE THE NECCESITY TO BUY ANOTHER OBE SPECIFICALLY THROUGH MY DEBIT CARD WHEN I HAVE THE CREDT CARD FROM BEST BUY WHERE I CAN PAY 12 MONTHS OR 18 MONTHS . THEY TOOK $532.74 OUT OF MY DEBIT CARD I GOT HACKED DAMN IT. I BEEN TRYING SO HARD TO GET MY MONEY BACK SINCE JANUARY 19 2025 WHEN THE INCIDENT HAPPENED šŖ. I WORK HARD FOR MY MONEY. AND TO THIS DAY BEST BUY KEEPS DENYING ME WHATS RIGHTFULLY MINES!!!!!!!!!. THERE ARE REALLY GOOD HACKERS OUT THERE DAMN IT . Think about look up my account in good standing šÆ percent. Why the hell would i try to get off on best buy makes no sense at all....... I want best buy to look at my account see how much I bought in good standing. Still paying off my daughter Mac pro I bought this December through my credit card best buy. I want my money back please I got hacked through my debit card.... makes no darn sense. I brought it to the bdt buy customer service they assured me I would get my money back and since Jan 19 I haven't gotten my money. Shame on you best buy on newington turnpike. The day before the phone comes out and i am supposed to pick it up, i receive a phone call from the best buy store saying that i need an appointment. I asked what times they had and they said the only time left was at 7:00 PM. I come to best buy at 7 on the dot that day. There is a line just to get the phone for people with appointments. There is only about four or five people in line and it takes an hour before we are up. It is our turn and a manager comes up to us who's name is Berto and says that he has some unfortunate news. They thought that i ordered the ATT varient of the device and not the Verizon. He said that there were none of the 32GB Galaxy S6 edges left of Verizon becuase they just sold the last two to someone else. I immediately pulled out my paperwork that i got when doing the pre-order and it specifically said a Verizon Galaxy S6 edge white 32GB. I showed him the paperwork and he was accomodating and said that a sales asociate would help us out and that they would just give us the 64GB for the same price as the 32, refunding me the difference on a gift card. It takes about another 45 minutes just for them to get the phone through the system. The sales associate opens the box and sitting in it is a black galaxy s6 edge 64GB. I almost walked out an left at that point as they just couldn't get me the proper device. It then took another half an hour for them to process the return and re-setup the white phone. While this mess was going on, the sales associate was trying to get Berto (manager) to come to the area we were sitting at so that he could process the gift card. Berto replied on the earpeice saying that he was taking a quick break. We waited another ten minutes untill the sales associate tried again to contact Berto. He realized that Berto had just left the store as it was now 9:15 and the store was closed. They called Berto on the phone and he said that he never told us that we could receive a gift card for the price difference, ambiguosly lying over the phone. He said that we could purchase something in the store and the difference would be applied to the purchase. The entire store was pitch-black except for one square area where we were sitting. They made us pick out ink and we ended up purchasing 5 packs of ink for the printer. What best buy did was wrong extremely unprofessional. My message is: DO NOT BY A CELL PHONE AT...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWorse Experience I have ever encountered. I purchased a refrigerator that was to be delivered on 5/24. I also paid for them to take away my old refrigerator that was STILL WORKING. They took away the old refrigerator cut the cord and made it UNUSABLE. Then the refrigerator that I orderd and was told would fit, did not fit. It came in about 1 inch to high. Keep in mind, the delilvery person just destroyed my working appliance. This appliance that was too big was removed and HE said to tell the store so that they could have another refrigerator delivered the next day. Went back to Best Buy Newington, CT and spoke with the assistant store manager, who failed in his level of customer service but I blame the company as a whole. He refused to escalate to a real person, instead trying to send me to an auomated line and some random escalation process that takes up to 48 hours for someone to respond. It may be Policies, it may be training. He said his General Manager Brent Smith was on vacation for a week and had no back up or superior who could help. If anyone believes all emergencies stop with the assistant store manager, then they deserve to be taken advantae of with this shoddy best buy customer service. Even though My appliance was made unusable, I was told the soonest delivery I could get would be June 12th. So my family of five is expected to eat out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for over 2 weeks. I even offered to rent a truck and purchase one of the refrigerators on the floor. Not only did they show me a bigger refrigerator, I was told there would be no restitution if I rented a truck, purchased a dolly and would get no assistance in moving it myself. If his is the service I can expect from Best Buy then I will NEVER buy anything again and I will tell my story to anyone who will listen.
