2nd time: (Feb 2024) I really wanted to love Graysons this time around. But we had more issues than our first visit. Forgot bacon on wedge salad. They gave us a free dessert for that. Then our sides came out without our steaks. Our waitress forgot to put them in when she placed the rest of our order with the kitchen. So for 15-20 mins we had sides without steaks. Then we had ordered truffle butter and were brought something sweet like an icing that looked like butter instead. Our waitress was very kind and very apologetic through the entire meal. My biggest disappointment was when the bill came and 30% off the ticket and a free dessert were the only actions the manager gave us. I am always wanting to give people a second chance but for the price you pay at Graysons Iâm expecting near perfection. My ribeye was ok. My wifeâs steak was absolutely incredible. The mistakes that were made should not have constituted a 30% off discount. It should have been on the house that night. Would love to give them one more shot but even after the discount and free dessert it was still $140 and I just donât know if I can do that again.
We went last week for my wifeâs birthday. The restaurant had been highly recommended so we thought we would try it. There were many things I can compliment the restaurant on. The overall atmosphere is very good. The wait staff were very attentive and on top of everything. Everything we had for our dinner selections was excellent except the steaks. We had the wedge salad which was probably the best we had ever had. We had 3 sides that we shared. The Brussel sprouts and the scalloped potatoes were both incredible! The charred corn was just ok. Unfortunately the steaks were a big miss for both of us. I had the ribeye and my wife had the filet. I ordered mine medium and it was cooked almost well done. So I had to send it back. My wifeâs steak was a bit over done as well but she kept hers because she said it had a good flavor and it was tender. My second steak took a very long time to come back and was better but still over done. They were nice enough to take my steak off the bill but the total was still over $100. Everything at the restaurant is a la Carte so my steak for just the piece of meat was $50. We have been to some of the best steakhouses in the country whose prices were very close to this one and unfortunately that night we didnât have the best experience. I never want to bash any restaurant because even the greatest restaurant in the world is not going to be perfect all the time but I wish that the steaks had just shined a little more and I would have given them a much higher review. But I would probably return again just for the salad. It was that good! Thank you for the good service and the sides. Hopefully we can try again...
Read moreOur dinner took place on a Saturday evening with four total people.
Seating was easy parking was convenient and the inside of the restaurant is very pleasing. When you enter, you meet the bartender who is incredibly helpful and knew the modifications to all of our drinks and completed them professionally.
When we were sat at our table, we were told our waiter had another party. He was wrapping up so we waited. My wife and I both worked in the restaurant industry for many years so we understand but the entire evenings service is much slower than we wouldâve liked and we waited for almost 20 minutes to get our appetizers and then four minutes later. Dinner was served. Just shows poor timing.
We enjoyed our waiter and he was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. We donât know what other table we had, but it was obvious that is where his attention was that evening.
Now for the review of the food. Every dish that we got (except for the steak) was sweet. I am so very dumbstruck as to why every dish had to have sugary sweetness in it. There was nothing overpowering about these but after a while, you just want to Savory flavors to come through on these dishes and everything was just slightly sugary. For Southern cuisine I know that we love our sugar in some most things but the seafood dish my wife got, and photographed, was almost too sweet to eat, and I have no idea why. My steak was outstanding and was the highlight of my meal.
The mixed drinks were fantastic and it were the only items on the menu that were very reasonably priced. I would absolutely go back for the bar service. Great selection of drinks!
Overall, it was a perfectly above average dinner. It wasnât outstanding, just âgoodâ. I definitely felt that the meal was overpriced for the quality of the food by about 20%. But thatâs not a huge complaint just something that I think...
Read moreâââUPDATEâââ- The owner Len contacted us and apologized and asked us to come back and give them another chance on him. We did and as alwaysâŚthe food was exceptional as was the service. I love their rack of lamb and rib eye steaks. My husband always gets their fish dishes. We had a great time. We truly â¤ď¸ this restaurant and definitely will be going back again very soon .
Called and made reservations over a month ago for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Verified at that time that they would be open on Labor Day (9/5/22). Was told they would be. Requested our waiter and our favorite booth and told them it was a special occasion as we were celebrating our 50th Anniversary. Called again in a week to reconfirm. Called again 2 weeks prior to 9/5 date. Then called at 8:00 PM on 9/4 to reconfirm once again our requests. Was told on the waiter they didnât have their schedule out yet but someone would wait on us & our booth was reserved. Well today, on our 50th Anniversary we arrived for our scheduled 6:00 time only to find a note taped on their door saying they were closed for the Holiday. REALLY???? Closed???? After we even confirmed our reservation the day before????? They had our phone number and couldnât bother to call us and tell us???? We get all dressed up and excited to celebrate our 50th and the restaurant is closed???? VERY POOR MANAGEMENT and we have eaten here a lot. Unfortunately we will NEVER patronize this restaurant again. Thanks for ruing our 50th...
