When we arrived at this location we were tired from a 7 hour drive from Orlando. When I walked in to check in, I immediately looked around and started questioning staying there due to the smell of dirty, not clean. I ignored my senses and got my room keys. When we parked and started to grab luggage to go to the room we noticed a group of people standing outside doing drugs. They made us feel uncomfortable because they were watching our every move. When we went to grab the door we didn't even want to touch it. It was filthy. The glass has smudges on it that seemed to have been there for months. The hallway smelled like urine and bleach. The walls were black with dirt and who knows what else. The floor looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. There was what seemed to be urine in the elevator. The room from a glance looked organized, but you can smell again the marijuana. Mind you, I don't have an issue with marijuana, but what I do have an issue is staying in a hotel that smells like it especially with my children. We were concerned about the beds and laying on it because if the room smelled the way it did, how can we be comfortable laying on the bed. Needless to say, we went immediately to the front desk and cancelled. Which this was the only pleasant part of the entire situation. The guy at the front desk was very nice and said we have a 30 minutes no questions asked policy. He cancelled the reservation, sent an email, and even called me to confirm the cancellation. He is the only reason I even gave service a two because otherwise I would've gave it a one. I don't like to right negative reviews, but I did this one because it is February and I have been going back and forth with this location since December. Please be careful staying here especially with children. Whoever owns this location needs to put more effort it to maintaining the place. And it is their own fault because we literally stayed in the hotel right across from them, La Quinta. And the rooms and hotel were like night and day. All that divides these two locations is a wooded fence that the owner put when he bought the property to keep a border between them. That is how bad this...
Read moreMy experience with this Red Roof was not pleasant at all. I made reservations for a Friday and Saturday. I've been to a few Red Roof's, and had decent experiences, that had rooms cheaper and nicer than their prices. The price of these rooms, are not what they're worth, especially with the problems that come with it. Along with that (not listed on their website), they charge an extra $100 deposit, that could take up to 14 business days to be refunded (if purchased with a card). The entire total came to, a little over $289. The desk clerks were not friendly, and were very slow at taking care of guests. During the first day, I decided to go for a swim. The inside door (leading to the pool) was broken, along w/ the pools exit/entrance gate. 2 kids, that were already inside the pool stated, they had to jump the fence, in order to get inside. On the second day of my stay, I'd come in from being out on the lake around 10:30 PM. I was unable to get into my room, due to the key not working. I had to go back to the desk, just to get them to reprogram my key. Once I got there, there was a couple being taken care of, and one other person waiting. I could tell that guy had been patiently waiting for a while, but was getting pretty tired. At that point, I had been waiting for almost 10 minutes, myself. I definitely, will not be back at the Red Roof Inn on 590 Bullsboro Drive in Newnan, Ga. UPDATE: Since my stay at this hotel (07/12/19-07/13/19), 1 week after, I noticed my $100 deposit had not went back to my card. I checked again on 08/01/19. I STILL have not received my $100. I called and spoke with the manager the next day. She stated they had not sent it through, but was doing so at the time I called. She then, tells me to give it a couple more days. No one, should have to call a company/place of business to remind them of THEIR money, that they owe to them. Nor, should they have to wait for nearly an entire month. Either, that place needs to be shut down, or get better...
Read moreAvoid booking with them at all costs! They do not honor reservations! I would give zero stars if I could. Nearly a month ago I booked 2 rooms, both with double beds with them as we would be traveling as a large family for a graduation. I get a call from red roof while we are on the road there, the day of, 3 hours before check in time and the guys tells me; they don’t have my rooms. He goes on to say they have 1 room with a single bed and a pull out couch and he won’t be charging my card for both rooms, as if he was doing ME a favor!! Of course you won’t be charging me for 2 rooms, in fact you won’t be charging me for either because this is not the room I booked and I can’t do anything with it! I ask ed how this is even possible when I booked them a month ago?? He casually tells me “you know people stay over sometimes” Like this is a common occurrence at hotels with reservations. It is absolutely NOT at any reputable hotel! If someone asks can they stay an additional night, but the room is already booked by someone else, the answer is NO the room is already booked. They didn’t just give away one of my rooms, but BOTH! Forcing me and my family to find another hotel on the day of to accommodate everyone on Memorial Day weekend, which caused us to pay more money! I know exactly what happened. When the other person asked to stay over, they probably charged them more than I already booked the room for. So they let them have it for a higher price. No regard for the reservation already made. I’ve never had this happen at any other establishment and I’ll never book with them again! Honestly now that I’m looking at these reviews, I’m glad we couldn’t stay there. You would think with reviews this low, they wouldn’t do foolishness like this, but clearly they don’t care and have no idea how to...
