first off, to summarize, really enjoyed the experience and the food! the decor is really pretty and modern, the chairs are super comfy, the wait staff was all very nice and attentive! the food was delicious all around, and the restaurant was very clean!
now i’ll get into details! i came here with my brother for the soft opening right when they opened, around 10:45am on tuesday 18th as we saw on their website. walking into the restaurant, you’re immediately met with a beautiful interior! there are codes to scan for their menu everywhere so if your phone can read a qr code, you're good to go!
the menu is diverse and all of it sounded great! my brother and i chose the massaman curry, the new york roll, and the hibachi chicken lunch. the food was amazing! the portions were great size and the prices are very reasonable compared to many similar restaurants in the area. the sauce for the hibachi chicken was really good, one of the best i’ve had honestly! the curry was very good, though my brother will ask for a bit more spice next time lol! and the new york sushi roll was so pretty and very delicious!
the wait staff was very nice and our waitress was super sweet, everyone making sure we had what we needed and the food was good! the sushi chef was very nice as well, also attentive making sure everything was to our liking!
all in all, it was a very positive experience, we are very grateful to be the first walk in customers for this business and we are very excited to make another trip! i think next time we will go later in the day, as the lights in the restaurant will probably be so pretty at night!! thank y’all for serving us delicious food and giving us a wonderful time! we...

As far as "sushi" goes, the place is pretty good. It is somewhere between the best you have ever gotten at a grocer, and perhaps the mediocre experience at a higher end restaurant of this type. Many of the "rolls" they offer are actually a California with something poured over the top. This is fairly common with many sushi places of this caliber. The selections for fresh sashimi are 'run of the mill' type stuff that most people would desire. Smart decision, IMO, given the clientele and location. I seriously doubt that any of the police or nurses stopping in for lunch are interested in paying a lot, waiting long, or off standard types of fish. Sort of an in and out quick type place, at least for lunch.
We have had the fried rice, which was quite good, had some Yaki Udon that was good but VERY salty/MSG. The ginger salad is really good, nice and fresh, crisp lettuce, and the Miso soup was also good in spite of a salty finish. They offer a couple of "boxes" (pre-designed selections) that are good and priced well.
The service is quick, and the fellow waiter is quite friendly. I think there is a slight language barrier but that will likely get better over time.
Four stars if only because this isn't a five-star sushi experience. Great place to duck in and have a quick lunch that isn't dripping...
Read moreNice atmosphere, friendly staff But my dining was not enjoyable altogether. I ordered the seafood fried rice. I only had 2 shrimp, my calamari was rubbery. There were a couple hard pieces of rice as if they'd sit too long. My onions were large in size and several had a hint of rancid taste. Carrots and broccoli acceptable.
And there were so many nats that my partner left early to the car. Hostess advised there were measures taken early on in week or so that had addressed them - that sounds however like a local city problem.
I informed hostess about my food concerns; she told me I'd eaten half - I guess she wasn't being literal. She seemed to have a deal of autonomy as she let on it was unfavorable for me to exchange my menu selection. She further advised they had been open for six months
I'm glad the locals seem to love it I will not be returning nor recommending it. I paid nearly $40 for two fried rice dishes. Sometimes it costs to try new restaurants but there's a more valuable takeaway:. Let management know right off the bat if there are more than 2-3 areas of dining experience concern. And no matter your level of hunger, don't be hesitant to leave that food untouched either request a fresh make or an exchange
When all else fails, stick to those...
