I love Bruegger's, but I'm going to drive 4 miles to the next nearest location before I go 2.5 miles to this location again. I ordered on DoorDash for pickup and when I walked in there was 1 person waiting to order, 1 person ordering, and 1 person waiting for food. I saw no visible signs indicating where the pick area was so I just went to the far right to where it would be at any other restaurant. There was a sign, not facing the entrance closest to the parking lot, that was 5X7 which read "DoorDash pickup here". On my way out I noticed another entrance facing PCH where the sign can be clearly seen. None of the 3 employees acknowledged me nor did they even look at me. So I stood at the end of the counter waiting for some kind of sign that they knew I was there. No indication what's so ever. So I said "Excuse me." No response. Again, "Excuse me." No response. A man waiting to order at the other end of the location looked at me like I was being loud. I'm frustrated, but I decide to just be quiet because if I say excuse me again I'm gonna yell and look like an a$$. While I'm waiting two of the employees are move at a sloth's pace, further building my frustration, and the third employee looked like she was under aged and like she was the daughter of one of the other two. Finally one of the employees looks at me and says "what's the name?" So I tell her and she says "ok just a moment". I get my 2 coffees, a bagel with cream cheese, and a breakfast sandwich, and say thank you. No response. The food was good as usual, but the coffee tasted burnt or as if it had been sitting in a carafe for way too long. Kind of how my truck driver uncle used to like his gas station coffee. I will not be coming back to this location and I would not recommend this location to any friends or family, but maybe a frenemy, until team members are properly trained on etiquette. I have never walked into a comparable place and not received a greeting. A simple "welcome, we'll be right with you!" Would have saved the frustration of not knowing whether or not they even know I'm there waiting.
Note: Based om other reviews I looked at when I got home, it seems as though the hiring manager needs to be replaced or retrained on...
Read moreVery bad experience today, I am a usual and never have had this happen. When checking out, I kindly asked the cashier if I could redeem my coupon that I had on my phone which is scanned through a barcode (unsure what her name is but when I called to ask, the coworkers would not give me her name ) she made a weird face as if she was annoyed I was redeeming my coupon. I ignored it as I did not assume the worst, after I paid, I saw her immediately turn around and scream to her fellow co workers in Spanish that I use a coupon for a free bagel and something else that I could not understand . I was so embarrassed, I got my bagel and left. When speaking in Spanish about customers (me) she made sure to show her coworkers who to look at (me). What’s funny is she doesn’t think I speak Spanish, because I did not respond to what she did, but I immediately called the store to get her name and the lady on the phone apologized to me. I will be contacting corporate on Monday. How dare her talk about customers in Spanish, I made a purchase it was not like I got everything for free....
Read moreCame here for bagels at 11am Monday morning during a sunny November day. If you have been to any Bruegger's for bagels the food here is the same. They can be busy on weekend mornings, but brunch on a weekday, not during summer, it was very quiet and only a few customers. Even though the place is relatively cozy, it has a quaint patio area that circles around 180 degrees. On a day like this it is nice, but there is still a lot of traffic on the PCH, so you can sit inside if there is space. There is some onsite parking but don't count on it at busy times. Grab any street parking you see within a block, 2 hour limit. The parking is shared with another place so it...
