Gina's Pizza — Restaurant in Newport Beach

my experience is based on the CDM location last Saturday. I have eaten pizza & pasta at hundreds of places. I will travel all over North America just to try great food. Pizza & Pasta are my favourite foods in the world.

What I can say with 100% certainty is this was the worst pasta I have ever had in my life. The Pizza was terrible but not as close to how bad the pasta was. We tried to order parmesan fries and that too was overcooked.

We literally took 2 - 3 bites of everything, paid and left. I didnt even want to bother complaining ...

out first sign should have been the fact that there was nobody there at 8pm on a Saturday, but I have been coming to the area for years and have always wanted to try it .... man, I cannot express how disappointed we were.

The service was sub par ... I was shocked they didn't ask why we left all the food and didn't want take out containers but it speaks to the service we got from our waiter who wasn't very engaging and looked more interested in eating in the kitchen in between coming out to service us.

All in all ... I do not regret this experience. It will be locked into my memory forever and 100% goes down as top 3 worst meals I have ever had.

Excellent. The staff was extremely nice. My husband and I are staying at one of the hotels on vacation for a week. We didn’t feel like going out , we just wanted to relax . Last night was our first night, so we just started out. We ordered delivery and everything we had was excellent and presented really nicely. This was the best delivery food we have ever had. The prices are very reasonable, especially for Newport Beach, but really for anywhere. We even still have food left over. Additionally, I know the person I spoke to said, that they were busy because of the Christmas walk. I just read on the website the extent of the event. For them to do the quality of food that they did, for delivery as busy as they were as very impressively. Additionally, the staff was so nice to me. We want to dine in the restaurant at some point. This place was ok. Came here based on good online reviews. The pizza crust was my least favorite. Not a lot of chew and way too thick and bready for my preference. The top 1/3 of the crust got soggy with all the toppings.

We got the margarita. I was expecting a more traditional margarita with thin crust, blobs of fresh mozzarella, and big leaves of basil. It was different with diced tomatoes, LOTS of shredded basil, and smaller chunks of mozzarella. I felt it lacked flavor outside of the overpowering basil and tasted bland.

We got a “biggie” slice of the Bianca pizza too. It was overcooked and notwithstanding how huge it was, still WAY over priced ($12 for a slice!!!!) . The rosemary seasoning overpowered the rest of the flavors of the mascarpone cheese. The generous amount of chopped bacon bits added too much saltiness. Didn’t love it either.
