Have ordered twice from A-1 Pizza in Newport now. First time was a delivery, half the order was missing. The chicken tenders had very little chicken in it. Were thin and very dry. Extremely disappointing. Second time a large pizza was ordered online with two salads. The pickup time was to be at 9:20 - 9:30. Got there at 9pm and the order was already done! Looks like it had been sitting there for awhile. Most likely made at 6pm, which was when the order was sent in with the note to have it ready for said time of 9:20-9:30. When opening the pizza it was bone cold and upon tasting, there was no taste. It's was virtually flavorless! Ordered regular crust, it was extremely thin and soggy, possiblely due to it sitting there for a while. We got a large pizza, half and half. It was to have extra mushrooms all over, half with extra onions and half with green peppers. 3 toppings. We got charged as if all three toppings were all over and doubled. Anyhow, we got charged almost $25 for a large pizza which in essence should have been $18. The toppings that were supposed to be doubled, were not. The two salads ordered were basically a container of lettuce. One was a house salad and one was a Greek. There were two slices of cucumber in each and two grape tomatoes, the Greek only had an adding of feta cheese. I will however say, my child asked for no olives or green peppers on the Greek, so maybe there would have been more. But, they often order Greek salads and typically they have pickles, banana peppers, onions, etc, as well. In the end, I did not enjoy the pizza, though felt obliged to eat it for it's price. I did not make my child eat it. They tried adding red pepper flakes to add some taste, it did not help. I do not like red pepper flakes, so they tossed those slices and I saved the rest, out of obligation. We put an automatic 15% tip and we now wish we could redact that. With that, it was more than $50! Could have had a nice sit down dinner instead for that. We will not being ordering from here again! If we could rate it zero...
Read moreI stumbled upon A-1 Pizza by chance last week, and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the delicious aroma of baking dough and simmering tomato sauce. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with warm lighting and friendly staff. We started with an order of their garlic knots, which were pillowy soft, generously coated in garlic butter, and sprinkled with just the right amount of Parmesan cheese. They were seriously addictive! For our main course, we decided to try their signature pizza, the [Name of A-1's Signature Pizza - if they have one, otherwise just describe the pizza you ordered]. It was a masterpiece! The crust was thin and crispy with a beautiful golden brown char, just the way I like it. The sauce was bursting with flavor - a perfect balance of sweet and tangy. They didn't skimp on the toppings either; every bite was loaded with fresh mozzarella, [list some of the toppings]. But what really sets A-1 Pizza apart is their attention to detail. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put a lot of love into their food. Even the simple side salad was fresh and delicious, with a light and flavorful vinaigrette. Overall, I had an amazing experience at A-1 Pizza. The food was incredible, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic,...
Read moreSo during lunchtime, I decided to call up and order a grinder for pick up to save time. So I ordered an Italian grinder with no onions, toasted well done. And the guy who obviously just got out of the ACI asked me what do I want on it I said “nothing“ just a regular Italian so I go there 20 minutes later I pick it up $15 and I sit down to eat it. I opened it up one. It wasn’t toasted at all. It was literally one piece of ham, and one piece of salami on a grinder roll. Nothing else. I ask someone that was walking around if I could have my money back because I am not spending $15 on one piece of ham in one piece of salami on a soggy roll. Then homeboy comes in, starts yelling at me and threatening Me and saying I said I wanted nothing on it. I begin the laugh and say listen I just want my money back I’m getting out of here. Long story short, the cops came, and I got my money back, and the best part is this pillar of society kicked me out and told me never come back, lol. So I consider myself a winner in this saga that I’ll never have to go into that disgusting...
