The Nitro Bar — Restaurant in Newport

Have always been a big fan of their TikTok content and have been following them since it only had one location. Finally made it here few weeks ago.The service was not it, rude and just overall uninviting. It felt like they were doing you a favor for even speaking to you. We ordered two drinks, it was ok.

It was relatively an easy weekday morning, traffic was just fine. I don’t see any reason for this kind of treatment

There’s also a girl on TikTok who recently made a review of the place talking about the negative interaction she had with one of the staff and rating of food/ drinks. In my opinion she was very tame, if not even holding back on the rating for food/ drinks.

Here is what really gets me, I don’t even care about the mid food and bad service anymore. I don’t live here, and probably won’t be back.

The owner then responded with a video which did not feel sincere. Liking comments on “people do anything for attention”, “she’s doing too much”.

Blocking people and deleting comments that are anything remotely ‘against’ her. Such as many people commented that feedbacks are crucial to growing a business. People sharing similar experience they had at her shops. All deleted

Clearly she does not care about building a community and improving as a whole.

I find this extremely unprofessional. Let's consider feedback, as many customers have experienced the same issues with your team's customer service. It’s time to take some accountability.

I like this place, I genuinely do. I’ve been coming for ages. But the past few months, it’s just been off, service-wise. Today was enough to make me leave this review. I’ll preface the fact that the staff was very kind, and working their butts off - it’s just the series of events that irked me.

I ordered online, a coffee and a tea, and set pickup time 30 minutes ahead. Got there about 5 minutes after the pickup time… nothing on the shelf. Okay, they’re busy, that’s fine. 5 more minutes, nothing. Finally get asked if I’m waiting for a pickup order - yes, I am. They look at some receipts, and slide my order into what I guess is the order queue. 10 minutes later, it’s finally done - 20 minutes later than the scheduled pickup time, and 50 minutes from ordering.

I get it, they’re busy. Rightfully so - they’re good. But people were walking in and getting their coffees that they ordered well after of my order, which, again, was ordered ahead. It’s hot coffee and cold tea - it can sit on the shelf for a bit if I’m running late, because that would be on me. But why are you waiting to make order-ahead tickets until the person arrives? You really gotta fix the process.

This isn’t the first time it’s happened, and it’s beginning to deter me from going there when in town now. Just figure out your order flow and it’ll...

This place is beautiful! I am all about supporting local businesses, however every time I come here the staff is rude. My friend bought a $9 avocado toast and when it came out we were all shocked to see how it was literally a piece of toast with the thinnest spread of avocado. We made sure to give it a shot and my friend didn't like how it tasted at all, she only took a bite, and she went up to the barista and politely told her how it unfortunately wasn't very good. The barista dismissed her saying "Okay..? You can just throw it in the trash." I just found how it was a bit rude since my friend payed $9 for a small piece of bread with a sliver of avocado on it. All im saying is that usually at the restaurant I work at, I make sure every customer is seen and heard, and if anything is ever wrong with their food- even if they're a little annoying about it, I always offer alternatives. I think this is the last time I'll come here which makes me very sad because I've been living in Newport for three years and every time I try to give Nitro a shot, I'm disappointed. Rude staff, watered down coffee, and expensive food that doesn't taste good is not worth me trying to keep giving this place a shot. Pretty...
