HWY 101 Burger Newport — Restaurant in Newport

You guys all know arrowhead water tastes horrible. Well here at burger 101 they only serve the finest bottled water and custom star wars Coca Cola. Delicious and nutritious. After a long days work on the ocean I love to come to this joint and have a burger and fries. Their menu is so simplistic. They’re not going to confuse your feeble mind with options and distractions. They’re efficient and they serve the finest burgers. I’m not sure if their drive through will work you’re going to have to swing some tight corners to get through. They say it’s “coming soon”. Hopefully doesn’t turn into an in and out situation and back up traffic on hwy 101. I’m sure they source their potatoes from Idaho but this isn’t confirmed. Please place your thoughts in the comments below. People flock to the Oregon coast for its seafood. Men dying every day try to catch you some fish n chips or a crab cocktail. I’ll be out on the ocean for the next couple weeks fishing blast albacore so some tourist can have mid sushi. It’s better fresh on the ocean. Before I go eat fish for a week it’s nice to have a 101 burger. I’m typing this as I’m waiting for my order to go. Probably get a lift in at Cunningham’s gym. I came here with family on July 15th, 2025. We were all very hungry from a hike in the mountains. This one male worker with blonde curly hair gave excellent customer service, efficient restaurant experience and stood out to me. I have been to many restaurants and this one particular, Burger 101 New Port Oregon has been by far the best service I have received. Give that man a raise! He did such an amazing job in receiving our orders, getting ketchup even though there were other customers who came in, and got our food out in one go. He was patient with all the customers that came in. He was jolly and always had a smile on his face. He has made our day by giving great service. This is service you would receive in a fancy restaurant. Yet, I have had the chance to receive such through ad fast food burger joint. I am impressed with the food tasting amazing and the ease of sitting back while this man would get our food out to us. I will say the napkin container is a cool look but it was a little hard getting them out. The fries could be cooked longer, but maybe that is the style of fries they cook. This man was running back and forth helping us while there was a line that came out of nowhere. This man paid close attention to each individual/customer that came through their door. Music was too loud. Towards Harl nobody in there at 7 o’clock on a Friday night. Once I got the food home and we began eating we know why. Absolutely worst hamburgers I’ve had in my life 60+years. They put pepper on the french fries. The fries were either cut and left out on the counter for hours before they were cooked because they were awful dark brown color, and I see from some of the photos that sometimes they are a nice light color, like they’re supposed to be, which means ours were old in some manner, possibly re-cooked. They weren’t great. Fries should be salt, no pepper. As for the burgers. So much gristle in the meat we just gave up and stopped eating them, tired of removing the pieces of gristle from our mouths. Tiny little piece of tomato with way too much lettuce. The cheese tasted like it had pepper jack in it. It was hot and spicy and just awful. Smallest burger buns I’ve seen anywhere except on a slider. This place will not last. My mother was thinking that this was the mobile burger joint that was in a trailer down by Subway, but these are not those burgers, because those burgers were good...
