Was getting very discouraged about leasing a Jeep Gladiator. I had done my due diligence, and researched prior to reaching out to dealerships. As this vehicle retains its value quite well, it should be a great vehicle to lease and I knew about what I should be paying (even taking into consideration our current state of affairs). The problem is that there are many dealerships (I tried 5 dealerships across the PNW before stumbling across Power Motors) trying to fleece customers for an extra $14k - $16k in finance charges on the back end (you read that number right, buyer beware of padded money factors). As a last ditch effort, I contacted Power CJDR in Newport on a Saturday. Thankfully, there are still some dealerships out there with some integrity who just want to help customers buy a vehicle; they make a little money, you save some money, everyone walks away happy. This is what the car buying experience is supposed to be like, but sadly, so often is not. The first offer from Power CJDR was right at where I was predicting my payment to be, thus I knew from the start, these were honest people who deserved my business. Because I live about 1.5 hours away, I did most of the negotiating (a total of three emails) from my home and then drove in to sign paperwork. I was physically at the dealership for less than an hour. My sales consultant, Matthew Delman, was kind, professional, & prompt. The sales manager came out to shake my hand and thank me for my business; a small but appreciated gesture that I will remember as it's nice to feel appreciated. Finance was quick & painless without any pressure to add anything onto the deal (THANK YOU). Mark Lease stayed late to help finish paperwork and help me get acquainted with my new Jeep. Mark never once made me feel rushed and still took the time to make sure I was comfortable with everything before sending me on my way. For a multitude of reasons, but mostly because they are just nice, honest people, I will be back for my next purchase. Don't waste your time with other dealerships in this area (unless you feel like getting legally robbed), go directly to Power CJDR in Newport. I can promise you...
Read moreOngoing saga with this dealership for the last 2.5 years since we first bought our car, which had to go in for service after only 4 days of ownership and sat there for 6 weeks. The sales department, service and management completely ghosted me, to the point they would not even answer or return calls or emails. Not even an apology for selling me a brand new car that couldn’t be driven for over a month after I bought it. It hasn’t improved in the last 2 years for regular maintenance and warranty/recall repairs. The service department is always extremely condescending, doesn’t listen and acts as though they don’t care at ALL about the customer. A simple seat replacement (under warranty) has taken over 8 months and still hasn’t been completed. The communication from them is nonexistent- I usually have to call or show up to find out if my car is ready or get any information at all. Or, like today, it was there for a day and a half and they hadn’t even STARTED to work on it. No one bothered to even call me to let me know it wouldn’t be ready at the end of yesterday as scheduled. I will say, the younger employee who checked me in and out was the FIRST EVER in 2.5 years who seemed to care and said he would speak to the manager and try to make it right somehow! Either way, we will be going elsewhere for service...
Read moreWe transport the cars to all you customers.. recently , their have been a lot of complaints from dealers unable to get the cars out of the rail yard , onto their lots and into customers hands.. many are already sold and set in the rail yard for months.. As the story goes, the sales manager wants to pin manufacture flaws and PDI issues ( little do they know I was a service manager for years ) on the transporter..for things like a small blemish on the bottom of the interior door panel on a door the transporter doesnt even open on passenger side.. the only door needed to be open to load your new car on a truck is the drivers door... To boot, the broker brokering the load wants to jerk our chain about paying us for the units we transported the week before... The two brand new TRD's the salesman asked us about on our last drop are at the rail yard to be transported... we will not be moving another unit until we are paid for work we have already done... the only ones paying the price for this are the customers waiting on their rigs that they ordered, and the sales staff waiting on their commissions.. and the managers who's sales numbers are not going to be what...
