This place was nice. Fireplace in every room. Clean. Nice staff. Fresh ground coffee and French press is a nice touch too. Great location. Overall, it wasn't spectacular and it wasn't terrible; a solid 3 star. The detractors, if these don't bother you, then you may enjoy it it more than me: The breakfast was so-so. The meat option was disappointing (microwaved bacon one morning, sliced ham the next morning). The fruit was far from ripe. Overcooked scrambled eggs. It's a complimentary breakfast though so I kind of expected this sort of thing. The check-in staff must have been new since I was requested back to re-swipe my credit card and my reservation was as mixed up with someone else. It was eventually sorted out though. The real rub with my stay was the hot tub situation. That hot tub is a really nice amenity and was definitely a factor in staying at this hotel. I was able to enjoy it one night although the total lack of hanging hooks and covered areas makes for wet towels/robes on a rainy night. On the second night though, the tub was closed because it was not "hot enough." It looked pretty hot to me though (the picture doesn't really capture all the steam billowing off the water). I understand and appreciate that it gets cleaned regularly and takes time to reheat. But, I was assured the night before that by 8pm it would be up and running. Needless to say, I was not happy about the tub being closed on the last night of my stay. The explanation that the front desk provided was insincere and the compensatory response was laughable; "we'll let you use the hot tub tomorrow morning." Again, if those detractors don't seem like much, you will probably enjoy your stay. Overall, it's an okay place (3 stars). I may even go back. But, I'll check on the days they clean the tub before booking... ;)

Stayed in an ocean view King room (36) on the top floor of this modern Inn. The room was large, super clean, and spacious. It also had everything I want and need in a hotel: nice towels, small fridge, French press coffee maker, comfortable bed with quality linens that didn't smell of bleach, etc. The view of the endless Pacific from my 3rd floor, detached balcony (very secure!) was unobscured --and delightful. Even though their dining room is closed due to the pandemic, the breakfast delivered to my room each morning was quite good. High quality fresh fruit bowl, real yoghurt (vs. Yoplait garbage), and a hot entrée, like breakfast burrito or small frittata, a bottle of juice, and an endless supply of good coffee from Portland Roasters. The only issue I had with my stay was the mattress on the high quality King bed was firmer than I am accustomed to. That's not a deficiency with the Inn, just my personal preference. Location is also terrific. A short walk to the beach, downtown Nye Beach shops, and an easy walk to restaurants on nearby HWY 101. For for the adventurous, it's a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Rogue flagship brewery or downtown Newport harbor shops and dining (1-1.5 miles). For not much more than the price of many nearby older, worn "but charming" beach motels and dull chain hotels designed for young families and pets, the Inn offered an upgraded experience many couples and discerning single travelers will appreciate for a relaxing and romantic getaway. I know I'll be returning soon.

Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. This hotel is so gross. They have spent alot of money to deceive people with their pictures and adds. There isn't enough parking like they claim so you might need to find off street parking if their tiny lot is full. The room i had was so dirty and our shower curtain was all ripped up. Our tv wouldn't work and they claimed there was no maintenance person to fix it and the front desk girl claimed she was the only one there which I don't believe for a minute. They literally just did not care. The infinity hot tub is small. There were alot of people in it at a time and i don't trust this hotel to have proper cleaning or maintenence of it so it's not very inviting. The staff isn't very nice there either. They don't care if you don't have tv or if anything works or not, they can barely even get your room ready in time. I feel like this hotel is going under..Its a dump! I posted a pic of their only luggage cart they have to bring up your stuff to the room LOL, this pretty much sums up the entire inn at nye beach. BTW - we went to Best Western Agate Beach 100% upgrade!

We stayed here for a week in early September 2021. A couple of the front desk people were friendly, but the service was sorely lacking especially at this price point. The rooms are poorly appointed, especially considering there was no housekeeping or other services available to the rooms at that time.

We were in a suite. No adequate table on which to eat or even play cards, no comfortable chairs on which to sit unless you want to sit on the bed. There was one chaise lounge, difficult for two people to sit on to eat or, again, play card games.

There was a coffee pot available, and when we inquired as to how to get the coffee pot clean and the grounds disposed of since all we had was a bathroom for running water and no housekeeping available, they told us to dump the coffee grounds into the toilet and clean it out in the sink. Not an acceptable answer on any level.

While the view is nice, the amenities are average and the price is at luxury hotel point. Luxury was not to be found. I have a long list of maintenance issues and other quality challenges around our stay with which I won't bore anyway right now.

I can say is that I had one of the best massages of my life here, and I've been getting massages since the 1990s. I've been trying to find out about this massage therapist to buy gift certificates to give to local people I know in the area. I also am interested in coming back to visit the area and get a massage, though definitely not stay here. This was solidified when I've tried calling three times and the same very rude front desk person is aggressively combative instantly when answering the phone. I asked for the name of the massage therapist and she would only give me a first name, didn't inquire even as to whether I was considering making a reservation, just insisted that only guests could get massages from this person. I asked if the massage therapist had an off-site business or if she could provide a last name, and she said that she would have to go through too much paperwork and she didn't know what the massage therapist did on her "off" time. I asked if she could provide me the massage therapist business name, and she said she would call me back in about an hour or so. I've course have not heard back and that's been 5 hours. I just tried to call back and ask again, and she picked up the phone and hung up without answering when I presume she saw the caller id.

On our first visit we did speak to management about some of the issues we had, because there were many challenges throughout the week and we tried to be as patient as possible, as well as very forgiving considering it was a pandemic and it seemed that not many people there had worked there very long. We get it, and tried to give as much leeway as possible. But they charge full price and you can only forgive the lack of service for so long before needing to be compensated for their lack of service and quality. We didn't get very far.

**UPDATE The GM, David, was very kind to respond to me personally and I appreciate that he is trying to turn things around in general. I agree with him that it's a beautiful property, and I think it deserves more attention from the parent company, which I very much hope they get. The only way to get the phenomenal massage is to book a room and I certainly recommend giving it a try; it may just make...

I have just returned from my 3 day get-away. I honestly would give every single member of their staff a 5+. They are friendly & efficient ALWAYS. Traveling solo for this trip they made me feel safe & protected 24 hrs. They answered every one of my questions-and with a smile and a sense of caring. The overall experience was as if they were welcoming me to their home. During my stay I could see that all areas of this hotel were performed with pride.||We have stayed here many times and keep returning time & time again. Located in what I consider the best area of Newport - Nye Beach. Wide open beaches that are perfect for strolling or watching a gorgeous sunset. Nye Beach Inn has a pool/hot tub located on site with a beautiful waterfall edge. There is a clear wall surrounding the pool to serve as a wind barrier. In dry weather they turn on the fireplaces as a great place to gather...or get some alone time. Again with a wind barrier. There is a set of steps for guests only leading directly to the beach. Strolling around this time I discovered chairs set up on the lawn that offer a perfect view of the ocean and I used them to simply bask in the warmth of the sunshine. ||I'm really weird about noticing when there is lint on the carpet against the area right up next to the wall or if I find a little area that has not been touched in what looks like forever. My room was immaculate. HUGE win for me!!! I was paying attention to what amenities came with the room. I found several items I will leave at home next time: lightup makeup mirror, shampoo/conditioner, blow dryer, my own pillow to name a few. ||I used the fireplace in my room quite a few times. Turn off the furnace, slide open the sliding door and simply let of the waves come right on in! The last night I was there we had a sunset that then went on forever with orange & purple skies. I could sit in bed and read with a perfect view of those skies.||I liked that I was given a menu of the breakfasts they provide. The marion berry french toast is to die for!||I stayed in room 22 (on the second floor). Good location. Close to the elevator. It was nice that a portion of the hotel jutted out the slightest bit to serve as a wind breaker. Made sitting on the balcony quite enjoyable. Nye Beach is only a few blocks away. Restaurants, shopping, ice cream shop, bike rentals all within walking distance. It's the atmosphere of Nye Beach that sets it apart. Oh - I did not see even one homeless person here. (Unlike my stays in Astoria where you didn't feel safe at night with so many people walking up & down the streets in every area) Not judging but it made a difference when I went outside after dark. ||I'm sure I must be leaving something out. I honestly can't think of even one negative thing to say about...

Where do I even begin…? How about I start with saying that if you have more than one child, don’t stay here. Backstory.. Three years ago we stayed here with our kids and we thought that it was absolutely fantastic! We loved everything about it even though it was prime Covid time… fast forward to the last four days (12/24/2023-12/27/2023) and our opinion has changed drastically! We booked our room in October because our children wanted to spend Christmas on the beach.. we thought, “heck, no better place than the Inn at Nye Beach! It was so great last time!” We were counting down the days until our Christmas vacation and the time had finally come! I had called to doublecheck our booking and everything was in place. We arrive and I do check-in and we get to our room and it wasn’t the room that we were under the assumption that we had booked and there was nothing they would do about it. I was frustrated but I wasn’t going to let it ruin my time. Next, my children went to the elevator a little bit ahead of me and pressed the button. When it opened my daughter put her hand on it and asked a lady if she minded sharing the elevator. The lady was rude and SMACKED my daughters hand away from the elevator and said no. I understand not sharing the elevator, it’s tiny anyways, but putting your hands on someone else’s child is completely unacceptable! It made my daughter uncomfortable and was extremely upsetting. If you want to take your children into their infinity spa, be prepared for dirty looks and snotty comments from others. Tonight is our last night here and as we were getting our children ready to settle down, our downstairs neighbor repeatedly banged on the floor and had the front desk call us for a noise complaint. So if you have children that like to talk or even walk when it isn’t even 9pm, I’d think twice about that. They boast that they are family friendly but that really seems like a joke. We feel as though our vacation was partially ruined because of the choice of hotel. We spent a lot of money on the wrong room and we probably would have had a better time at motel 6. Yes, it’s clean and breakfast is great and the amenities are nice but sometimes it’s not all about that. Sometimes it’s about having a home away from home and making a vacation magical especially if you have children. On a side note, the graveyard front desk person, Michael, was absolutely fantastic and one of the only bright things about our vacation. I would not recommend this place if you have children and I suggest that they make it an adult only place since kids will be made to feel unwelcome by...
