I purchased a vehicle from Power Ford in November. While the salesperson was very nice and helpful, and can not say the same for the office people who filled out all the paperwork. They were supposed to fill out paperwork allowing me to transfer my disable veteran license plates from my old car to my new one. Instead they charged me for new plates, even after I verified with them several times during the buying process that I wanted to keep my permanent plates. When I received brand new plates in the mail, I contacted the salesperson and told her what happened. She immediately had the office people contact me, and I was told that everything would be taken care of that day and I would receive a phone call back when the error was taken care of, which I did about half an hour or so later. No sooner had she and I hung up, then another person, (who I will not name at this time) called me and told me that he had heard about the mix up and that everything had been taken care of the day before. When I told him the Diane and I had just finished talking on the phone and the she had told me it had just been taken care, he informed me that she was mistaken, that it had all been handled the day before. Fine. Then when I asked him about the charges for the new license plates, he tried to tell me that I had not been charged for new plates. I told him I had the paperwork in my hands showing that I had. He asked me to email him a copy of the paperwork, and that if in fact I had been charged he would have a refund check sent out immediately. 2 days went by and I heard nothing back from him, so I sent him another email. Still no response, so then I emailed the dealership and let them know about the whole problem. Within an hour I received an email from Chris stating that a refund check had been sent out the day we talked and that obviously since I was inquiring about it and it had not been cashed, I had not received it, and that they would put a stop payment on it and issue out a new check that day. (The first refund check was supposedly sent on Jan. 30th, the second one on Feb. 9th). I have never received either check, but I have received all kinds of paperwork (including the new license plates)from Power Ford, but NO REFUND CHECK! And my emails are still being ignored by Chris. This is my 3rd car that I have purchased. My 1st one from Power Ford, and the 1st one I have ever had any trouble with. Will not ever do business...
Read moreIf I could leave 0 stars I would. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! Do not take this lightly, they truly do not care about you, your car, your safety, anything. They put us in a vehicle that could have killed us had we not taken it to the mechanic as soon as we left the lot.
You will be completely taken advantage of. Steve sold us a car with false statements and blatant lies. The Ford Explorer we bought had a previous accident where the front end was wrecked, he stated everything was fixed. As soon as we drove off the lot the front end starting making noise and we had to take it to the mechanic where we spent over $1200 to fix it. They slipped a warranty into our contract that we did not agree to; $2500 was added to our contract without our knowledge (this warranty fixes a cracked windshield or tire issues, it is not a mechanical warranty) Now after having the vehicle for two months the power steering is out, that is another $2200 we have to spend on a car we’ve had less than 6 months. When I called to speak with Michael the sales manager about this he advised he would look into it. He did not call me back, a week later I called him and he said there was nothing he could do about any of our issues. I asked that he at least cover the amount we spent right after driving off the lot he said, “I can’t make any promises but feel free to send me the receipt.”
Let me say, we came into the dealership with our three small children. We were made to feel uncomfortable so that we would want to get out of there. We were never offered water, and it was difficult to concentrate on the situation at hand because we had three children with us under 5. They took FULL advantage of this. They purposely make it so you sign and GTFO.
I know, used car salesman are known for being skeezy but this dealership takes that cliche to another level. If you value the safety of yourself and your family, please do...
Read moreRecently, I experienced a noise in my car and I initially took it to a local shop to have my brakes checked. However, they informed me that my brakes were in good condition and after a test drive, they discovered that the noise was due to my ball joints and AR arm, which were luckily covered under warranty. I decided to take my car to Power Ford to have the warranty work done, and upon inspection, they also confirmed that my brakes were fine but that my ball joints required attention. They called me later that day to inform me that the ball joint repair was covered by the warranty but that I needed a $1200 brake job, with new rotors on all four tires. I was skeptical and had a friend who works on cars inspect my brakes, and they confirmed that my brakes were fine. I went to a third mechanic, and they also found nothing wrong with my brakes or rotors, contradicting Power Ford's recommendation. Despite this, I scheduled an appointment with Power Ford to have my ball joint repaired. Unfortunately, after dropping off my car, I received a call stating that the required parts were not available and that the work would have to be rescheduled. The repair was finally completed a week later, but took two days as the alignment shop find time to check the alignment after the ball joint repair. I had to make several phone calls to get updates on the status of the repair, was placed on hold not return calls. I am disappointed with the customer service I received from Power Ford and feel that they were attempting to take advantage of me by recommending a brake job that was unnecessary. I do not recommend their services and regret having purchased the warranty through them. While I typically support local businesses, Power Ford's conduct was...
