Franz Bakery Outlet Store — Restaurant in Newport

Great prices, great bread! Not just 'old' bread either! I stock up every month. Freezes well. Very nice people. They have a whole section of gluten free (GF) breads, organic breads and other miscellaneous items such as cookies, Bob's Red Mill items, pastries, honey, jams, jellies, condiments, etc. Great if you need a place to stop before cooking out.

Various daily discounts, bonus items when you buy a certain amount. Discount rack for items that are 'expiring soon'. Great place for families to shop because they can get SO much more for their money. Now they also have a punch card that you get even more of a discount once you have that punched completely.

Just wish they were in a better location, so more people would know they were there. That might change now, because you can see the store from the new Fred Meyer gas station.

I feel bad that I didn't think about reviewing before. I tell people all the time about this place. The ONLY place I buy my bread and buns (best GF burger buns I've ever had, even though I'm not GF.) Great for burgers (veggie for me). 😋

LOVED this store!!!! We were on vacation and needed bread for sandwiches. We bought GOOD bread ("Naked" bread, Hawaiian brand rolls, etc ) for ridiculously cheap prices!! AND, as we were checking out, we were told that we had some FREE items coming, too!! That was ANOTHER BONUS!!! We don't have a Franz outlet in our town, so it's a real treat for me to get to shop at one, when they are available. You can really save a lot of money and buy WHOLESOME bread (and, yes... I was visiting from Wisconsin. I love the Franz gluten free bread but it is hard to find in WI. This store and the customer service is AMAZING. I was given a Franz gluten free cinnamon bread to try. It is sooo good toasted and used for French toast. My husband who can eat wheat said it was outstanding! (I secretly hid a piece for later). I will definitely be getting...
