Listen up, let me tell you how delicious this food was. I recently can back from Japan and had to try I'm Sushi to make sure it was legit. The Sushi was a even close match, including the time it takes to deliver and prepare so I rate it a 10/10 in my book. The salmon sushi was prepare with the right ratio of fish to rice, the Alaska roll ( I believe) had fresh cucumber that burst with every chew, and the salmon roll was super delicious and even was able to add avocado to that!! The maki rolls were the biggest pieces I ever experienced from any sushi restaurant and I travel to experience the Sushi cuisine. I was so pleased on how the owner recommended different sushi like yellow tail which was even more of blessing not know the texture and flavor it holds. As the owner prepared the yellow tail, he took time to explain the different properties, cuts of the sushi I was eating, and got to know me for the time being!! I am recommending taking the time to travel from wherever you are (my travel time was 1 hour, 15 minutes) to experience this amazing restaurant by the beaches in Newport Rhode Island. I had the all you can eat and the price was spot on and won't beat that anywhere else. I am definitely going back everytime I'm looking for sushi 🍣 Here is the Japanese comparison photo with the Salmon and Tuna sushi, and cucumber roll. Hope you enjoy it as much as this sushi connoisseur!

Delicious!! We have ordered delivery from IM Sushi several times and this was our first visit to eat in. We were starving so chose the all-you-can-eat option. Now feeling like miserable stuffed pigs, but it was worth every yummy bite!! We went heavy on the specialty rolls and the IM Sushi roll was exceptional. Service was great, lots of people picking up take-out orders and quite a few people eating at the restaurant. Impressive for 5:30 on a Saturday in Newport. They're clearly doing something right, since there are several well-established sushi options in the area. Definitely recommend!

So very delicious. I decided to go with the all-you-can-eat option and I was determined to get my money's worth! As a result I ate a lot of sushi and every single piece was delicious! Service was just wonderful - my friend and I were absorbed in our conversation and literally spent more than 3 hours at our table. Staff was gracious the whole time and our server was super helpful explaining some of the dishes to my friend with allergies. I've never had a bad experience here and I don't know anyone else who has either. Definitely recommend.

Update after 4 years: still great sushi, around $30 for all you can eat dinner. ------ Original review in 2017: Good all you can eat sushi overall. fresh (they make it after you sit down and order, unlike buffet-line style). Lunch is cheaper but ordering options are limited. Dinner is a few dollars more but opens up more options. If you just like rolls, lunch may be the better value. If you like all the typical sushi offerings, go at dinner time. And you can always opt for pay-for-what-you-eat

We are always impressed by IM Sushi! The restaurant is clean, the service is great, and the food is clean and delicious. I always get their avocado rolls. The avocado is always fresh and the portion size is unbeatable in this town. We have also tried their pork gyoza and chicken teriyaki, both also great. If you’re looking for great food and sizable portions that doesn’t leave you wondering how you just spent so much money on dinner … check out this place!

I ordered Two Special Roll and Una Don (Eel over rice) from Lunch special. The special rolls are delicious. The Una Don is yummy but the portion is very small and not sufficient for lunch. Overall, food is good, but the atmosphere is not that good: Two employees are cutting boxes in the middle of the restaurant. I have to listen to the box cutting noises throughout the whole lunch.
