We have been trying all the spots in Bellevue, Newport, Covington, etc and so far this is one of my favorites. It's simple, with really reasonable pricing and plentiful food with each order. And please remember smoking hasn't been in here since 2020. We also got a parking spot right in front, free. There were a handful open around us and we were here on a Wednesday morning around 9.
There were many "regulars" when we were there and I loved that and felt like we were in for a good meal....and we were.
I couldn't decide what to get and wanted protein but am sick of eggs and felt like a burger but also wanted pancakes.... so indecisive . I was appreciative that I could get two kids meals. I ended up taking most of the burger back to my kiddo and she loved it. It was a good homemade burger and the fries were great! All was hot- like, right off the grill/fryer hot... so good. The pancakes were good but next time I will likely go with an omelet. many people around me had an omelet and they looked awesome! My husband had the veggie omelet and it was really good.. I took a bite and he was also really satisfied and tried everything and liked it all as well...
We will definitely be back here!

Read moreOoo man! Where do I start? During my mini two day stay in Newport, Kentucky, I wanted some good breakfast. There was Lana's. It is really hard to find a homegrown, family, welcoming mom and pop atmosphere anymore due to chains and what not. Lana's was that Cheer's aspect when it comes to diners. The waitress and cook were welcoming, everyone knew each other who was eating and it was a fun place to be at to eat breakfast. Now, I ordered the steak breakfast which filled me up until dinner. The cook overcooked my steak and was so apologetic and came to me multiple times. As easy going as I am, I did not care, the steak still tasted delicious. The waitress kept refilling my coffee and the other patrons were welcoming and talking to me as well. The food is some of the best diner food I've had at a great price. If you're looking for fine, healthy expensive breakfast, this isn't it. But if your looking to fill up on some delicious diner food in a homegrown environment,...
Read moreWe had a quick lil getaway & wanted to explore the local Kentucky/Cincinnati food scene, so we made a stop at Lana's Diner in Newport, KY, and I'm glad we did.
The diner has a very classic, nostalgic feel with a homely decor and a warm, "seat yourself" comfort. The service staff was very friendly and welcoming.
I ordered the Western Omelette w/ bacon, a side of home fries, and what seemed to be homemade rye bread. I gotta say, the omelette was on pointâprobably one of the best Iâve had, not gon lie. Everything was flavorful, well-prepared, and hit the spot.
If youâre in the area, Lana's Diner is a must that you...
