Ruth's Chris Steak House — Restaurant in Newtown Township

My family went to RC last night for my nephew's birthday and everything from the moment we walked in until we left was first class. We were seated immediately and our server Felicia was friendly, attentive, and knowledgable. I was surprised when she told me she'd just started. I couldn't have asked for a better server (management - she deserves a raise!) She even changed our napkins from white to black since we were all wearing dark clothing which I thought was a nice touch. My mother passed away last year and we brought her picture and had it on the table (we do this for all special occasions) and both Felicia and manager Mike (also very nice and attentive) asked about the picture and spent time chatting with us.

My dad started with the stuffed mushrooms which were incredible! We shared the creamed spinach and lobster mac and cheese, and the serving dishes were basically wiped clean because we loved both. We all had steaks - my dad and sister had filet mignon, my nephew had a ribeye, and I had a T-bone. We were all very happy with our selections. Felicia brought out cheesecake for my nephew all we all tried it and like everything else it was delicious!

🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊It’s Ruth’s, I really don’t need to say anything but then I wouldn’t be Joe Joe!!! Walking up to the red doors I said to myself…does a kid from Folcroft belong here? We walked through the red doors and the cool guy at the front said “you’re home”🥹🥹 under my breath I said…he don’t know Folcroft!!🕺🏼. I also didn’t see a laundry room with mountains of clothes all over the floor, I was a little confused😂🤣!!! My mom could actually run a tab at Folcroft Pizza 🫨. Ruth’s could not be nicer and more inviting if they tried!! I would have cried but I used to wear contacts! We were seated in the bar area and as you walked through you knew it was going to be an experience! Lydia our server was so nice and recommended the Lobster Mac n Cheese side…jackpot!!!! Soooo good and enough for 2 as a side!! We each had the 16oz NY strips and they were absolutely amazing!! I’m not a big drinker but since I was at Ruth’s I said when in Newtown Square…had the Ruth’s Manhattan and it was banging!!! That 🍒 😘!! Ruth’s is not cheap but you will not get a meal like this at other restaurants, Ruth’s is top notch!! If my dad didn’t walk out when I was 15 he’d be proud of me!!! I had a great experience. I can’t recall the name of the manager but he was amazing. From the moment we walked in, during our meal, and after. He was going table to table checking in. The waitress we had she had a very unique name i wish i could remember it but she was absolutely amazing. Attentive service was 10/10! The food was very good!! The steak was excellent better than another steak house I’ve been to. lol just know the quality of food here is good. There were some items i wasn’t a fan of but it didn’t change my experience in any way. I wasn’t a fan of the creamed spinach. Just not enough flavor for me. And the kids meal was a bit too much for my niece. I wasn’t sure why she didn’t like the chicken until i tried it myself. It had some type of cheese sauce underneath and it wasn’t needed. The chicken by itself was delicious juicy tender but the cheese sauce sitting underneath was an acquired taste. We didn’t care did it. But everything else we had 10/10 and service was great!
