Visited twice this week. Had lunch with a friend on Thursday. Had the Wrightwood Salad as it was recommended by the server. I had it with the rotisserie chicken. The salad was delicious! Everything was fresh and the cornbread croutons were a great touch.

On Friday, I returned with my family to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday. We had the private room. The room was cozy, but we had only one server assigned for most of the meal and she seemed slammed. She also mentioned she was newer so I definitely extended her some grace on a busy Friday evening. As the meal went on, another server or 2 ducked in to help which when they did, made a difference. Unfortunately, there were some challenges.

I mentioned one person in our party was in a rush and wanted to expedite his meal. The server said we could do this but others received their food before him. The same person ordered a soda but it never came so after 20 minutes, I walked out and asked for it. We ordered the cheese curd starter. If you’re in the mood for cheese curds, be sure to read the details of this dish as it is a very different take on what you might be used to. “Tempura-battered curds, vegetables, giardiniera aioli.” Unfortunately, the item came out room temperature and borderline cold. I was able to get a server to address and they handled the situation very professionally. When the main courses were ordered, I had asked for some croutons on the side. They were not delivered. Not the end of the world and I didn’t think about it until later so I never brought it up. 2 of us ordered pork chops. We both prefer the temperature on the pink side. The server said that fortunately, that’s also how the chef prefers to prepare it as a default. Both came to us overdone (Medium). The server took care of this and agreed that oddly, both were not medium rare. I ordered an espresso with dessert and asked if I could have raw sugar with it. The espresso came and no sugar was presented. I was fine to have it without, but I mention b/c it was one of several details that were missed.

We are fairly regular visitors to this location and I’m sure we’ll be back. The food quality overall is pretty solid and although there were some service misses as noted tonight, in general, I find the staff here to be quite good and always friendly. If you’re in the area, I’d definitely recommend it.

Side note, they have a nice bar with plenty of wine, liquor and...

We really wanted to love this place. It is walking distance from our house and we so need a great restaurant in the neighbordood. This unfortunately isn't it. We have eaten there twice. Once dining in and the other carry out. The ambiance is great, and the space looks really nice. The staff was friendly. That's about all the good I have. These are the food items we tried and our opinions. BBQ Ribs - meat was tender, fall of the bone. Sauce was disgusting. An easy fix if they offer a few choices in sauce. Mashed Potatoes - good, not great. Too runny, needs to be thicker. Mac and Cheese - flavor and ingredients were spot on but the pasta was overcooked and MUSHY. No excuse for that. French Dip - My husband got this in restaurant and a friend for carry out. Both had the same opinion. It was fine. Nothing special. Not great. Cornbread - This is the best thing we had here but the price and the portion are crazy. I ended up throwing away more than half of it twice. They need a smaller size skillet for half the price. WrIghtwood Salad - I got this carry out and it was packaged very nicely with the chicken and the dressing on the side. The chicken was so oily that it totally ruined the salad. I mean this was the worst salad I ever had. I tried to force myself to finish it and could not do it. Fries - had these dine in and carry out. Very good both times. Mini Filet Sliders - my daughter said the meat was dry and chewy. She would not order again. Tuna Poke - Husband said it was fishy tasting and only ate a few bites. He eats this item often and I have never seen him dislike it before. He threw most of it in the garabage. Carrot Cake - ok, not great. I wouldn't order it again.

Last note, I wanted to get a turkey burger or a veggie burger as I don't eat beef. They said it's only on the lunch menu. The other location appears to have it anytime. This is a bad choice if you want to have repeat and carry out customers in the neighborhood. I can't be the only person who would order these sandwiches at...

Beautiful restaurant and atmosphere feels high end. Bathrooms are very nice too. We were quickly walked to a table when we showed up and the service could not have been better as she was very attentive and nice. The reason this is four stars not five is because the apprtiser lobster eggs was very good and flavourful with a nice hint of spiciness from the sauce and the presentation of all the food was nice. The rotisserie chicken was a decently sized portion and the mashed potatoes were well seasoned and delicious as well as the sauce. The taste of the chicken is exactly what you expected yummy but nothing special especially for the super expensive $21 price. The value of the dish is more around $3-$4 so its absolutely not worth it but its expected for a high end restaurant. My complaint with the chicken is I think it should have been cooked better. My chicken skin was burnt a little and the other one should have been cooked longer. But overall good experience at Crosby’s.

Update. We came again second time after 11 months and got two chesseburgers. It was a generous portion and made me feel full, the meat was tender and cooked very well, bun crispy, lettuce the way i like it, onions chopped instead of the pink rings, and the cheese was melted which was great. The burger tasted very good, tender, and juicy, and the ingredients fit well together. The fries were also presented in a nice way, and i like how they were preseasoned which made their appearence nicer, but they were way too salty. This hurt the balance between them and the burger and made the burger taste salty as well. Next time please put much less salt. It overpowers everything. But overall great restaraunt. And...

Another Amazing Visit to Crosby’s — and a New Favorite Discovery! I’ve written before about how much I love Crosby’s, but this visit definitely deserves a new review. This time, I tried the Crab Cake with coleslaw, and I can confidently say: it’s now my number one spot for Crab Cakes! If you’re a fan, you have to try it. It’s all crab meat — no fillers, no breadcrumbs — just large, delicious chunks, perfectly seasoned and super light. I wasn’t even that hungry and thought I’d take half home, but I ended up finishing the whole plate (as you can see in the photos)! Highly recommend. And as if that wasn’t enough, the dessert completely surprised me: the Carrot Cake. I’m usually not a fan of this kind of cake anywhere, but theirs is absolutely divine. Just the right amount of sweetness, with that light, creamy frosting on top — so smooth and delicious. The cake itself is moist, fluffy, and full of flavor. Even if you think you don’t like carrot cake, give this one a try — it’s amazing! Another lovely coincidence: I was once again served by Lourdes, who is always so kind, professional, and engaging. She takes the time to talk about the dishes, the flavors, and the quality — even the cookie! You can really feel the care and attention that goes into everything at Crosby’s. All in all, nothing but great things to say about this restaurant. I absolutely recommend it, even for trying dishes you might usually avoid. I did — and I ended up loving them!

If you haven’t made it to The Niles location yet, now’s the perfect time. I’m not exaggerating when I say we had one of the most tender, juicy, smoky filets we’ve ever tasted—cooked to absolute perfection. Whether you stop in for the sliders, filet, or the bang bang steak salad, you’re in for a treat. We ordered the mahi-mahi sandwich, steak filet, and the bang bang steak filet salad. For dessert: a rich, moist carrot cake and a zesty Key lime pie that hit just right. And the drinks? You must try the Veronica Green—not too sweet, just the right kick of spice, and seriously delicious. Service was top-notch—warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The manager even came by to say hello. What really stood out? Despite the bustling crowd, he rolled up his sleeves and jumped in to help his team. Total class act. The ambiance is equally impressive. There’s a lovely outdoor patio, plenty of cozy indoor seating, and a stylish bar area perfect for unwinding during happy hour (Monday through Friday, 4–6 PM). The decor is adorable—elegant yet inviting, with that just-right balance of charm and comfort. We’ll absolutely be back on our next visit to Niles. Can’t recommend this place enough.
