I recently visited Dunkin in Chicago which is located at 7039 W Dempster St. Niles, with high hopes of indulging in some delicious ice cream. Unfortunately, my experience at this establishment was far from enjoyable, and I feel compelled to share my concerns.
Upon entering the ice cream shop, I was excited to try their ice cream flavors. However, I had a dietary restriction and needed to ensure that the ice cream was halal. With this in mind, I politely approached one of the workers and inquired about the halal options available. To my shock and disappointment, the worker responded with a racist comment, suggesting that I should "go to Saudi Arabia" if I had concerns about halal food. When I asked about the name he said his name was "Marcus" which I know is not true. He was an skinny Indian guy in his early 30s
Such a response was completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and offensive. No customer should ever be subjected to racist comments or be made to feel unwelcome in an establishment that caters to the public.
The incident left me feeling deeply uncomfortable and humiliated, and I immediately left the ice cream shop without making a purchase. I believe that every customer deserves to be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of their background or dietary requirements.
I hope that Dunkin takes this review as an opportunity for reflection and improvement. No business should tolerate discriminatory behavior from its employees, and steps should be taken to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. As a customer, I would expect a sincere apology from the shop's management for this unfortunate experience.
In summary, my visit to Dunkin was marred by a racist comment from one of its workers, which is completely unacceptable. I cannot recommend this establishment based on my experience, and I hope they take the necessary actions to rectify this situation and foster a more inclusive and respectful environment for...
Read moreThis is truly one of the better Dunkin' Donuts that I have ever stepped foot in. During my initial visit, I did not get the chance to walk around to see the entire dining area, however I did notice the increasing amount of traffic in the parking lot, plus outer seating area. It most definitely felt like the hang out spot for many, which was frustrating trying to locate a parking spot.
It wasn't until my 2nd visit when I actually got the chance to to walk around and see more of the inner dining area, which was quite mind-blowing. The first thing I took notice of was the many different age groups of customers in general because of what it consists of. It is attached to a Baskin-Robbins just like many others throughout Chicago and Chicagoland, plus it just so happens to have a study room w/ free WiFi access which many Dunkin' Donuts locations do not have. With the free WiFi alone that is enough to bring in an array of customers. All I have to say is that 'Starbucks' ain't got nothing on this Dunkin' Donuts location, plus it is open 24 hours!
In closing, I ordered 1/2 of a dozen donuts for my clients, plus an iced hazelnut coffee for myself. Not a bad overall experience both times, but as stated take note of when you visit because it does get quite congested in the parking lot, so if you see a parking spot latch on to it before you end up driving around in circles trying to locate one because of how congested it...

I approached them and asked if I can order I have been waiting by the register the blond young lady said your need to order from this side (which is service area by the drive threw) I Asked how would I know that, she ignored me and asked what would you like to order (shocking). I asked for two coffee with Splenda cream and unsweetened hazelnut plus avocado toast. While she was ringing me up the dark hair girl come up and ask me how would you like in your coffee so I answered saying I just told your coworker, with an attitude she says “well I’m making the coffee so you need to tell me” at this point I’m so shocked and wondered if I’m really at a Dunkin donut. I decided to just tell her how I want the coffee to avoid problems but then I only get 1 coffee 🙄, I had to explain that I ordered two I have no clue if those girls are having a bad day or that’s the service level that Dunkin is offering now. I’m big fan of Dunkin and love this location, management needs to look into the night shift. Very...
