I usually never have any issues here, it's usually quiet and pleasant and the food and drinks are always extremely high quality. But last night I was a little disappointed when I walked in almost an hour before closing with other customers still in there and the lady at the counter didn't even bother to help me. She looked at me 3 times while she was cleaning and I was standing directly at the register and ignored me as I was staring waiting for her to help me. So I went and sat down and ordered online, then a different employee comes out of the back and gets the ticket and starts to make my drink, and the first lady sees the ticket and sees the other employee start to make the drink and let's out this big sigh and a grunt. Like I would understand the irritable behavior if I came in like 5 mins before closing. But this was almost an hour before closing. They didn't even scoot my drink to the front of the counter before they started helping someone else. It was done with a lid and everything so I just reached all the way back and grabbed it myself...... It's the little things man.... Idk what was up but I have never had a bad experience here...
Read moreHaven't tried a coffee, but I did try a gluten and dairy free tart! Their selection is so varied and it's nice to have a spot in Niles that caters to allergens. Their prices are really decent as well, especially when you compare to a certain other cafe down the street from them or Starbucks prices. I will have to go back to try one of those interesting sounding lattes!
I thought I should update this since I'm now a semi-regular at this spot. The best place for coffee in Niles! The roast is amazing and any flavor latte complements it and the flavors never overpower the coffee. I have had friends that usually dislike coffee try theirs and they find it enjoyable.
Since I left my original review they have expanded what they offer by so much. The food is really good, cinnamon rolls and the sweet tooth toast are my go-tos. I haven't tried something that I've disliked yet and I doubt that will ever be the case.
The owners are very personable and friendly as well as the rest of the staff. 2nd & Main is a treasure to downtown Niles and I hope they have many more years...
