This restaurant is a wonderful place to eat breakfast, lunch or early dinner. This is a small family owned business the food is fantastic. I had the country fried steak with scrambled eggs home fries with Texas toast. I asked for my toast to be grilled way better. I added on a side order of corned beef hash and coffee to drink. The menu has a lot of offerings so something for everyone in the family. If you have a large group they will push tables together for you. They do close at 5pm I believe so you might want to call before you head out, they want time to spend with their family. Like I said it's a small family owned restaurant.

Tried this place out with my husband for the first time. We were both unsatisfied with the atmosphere, and food. The service wasn’t too shabby for us, but tables around us were having to ask for refills etc. They brought my husband’s plate out 5 mins before mine, which I thought was a bit odd. It grossed me out to see how the tile floor was dirty/broken, and the trash was about overflowing. Made me wonder if it looks that gross where customers can see, I wonder was it looks like in the kitchen. The food was mid. We didn’t finish our plate and it was overpriced in my opinion. We unfortunately won’t be returning.

Happened to go on Mother's Day, so it was very busy. Servers were friendly! Denver omelette was quite good, though I've never had an omelette served in this shape before! Hash browns were good, though not as crispy as I personally like, which is purely a matter of preference. If you like them crispy, it might be wise to ask. I subbed pancakes for toast, and they were fluffy. There is no maple syrup, only "Smuckers Breakfast Syrup" which is typical high fructose corn syrup stuff. I understand this from a cost perspective, but bring your own maple syrup if you like that on your pancakes.

Came here today for the first time with my kids for breakfast and will not be returning. We try to eat local and try new places as much as possible, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I liked.

When we walked in, it was relatively busy so expected to wait a few minutes, however it took ~90 minutes from arrival to check out.

It was nearly 10 minutes after we walked in before anyone greeted us or came to our table to bring menus.

45 minutes after ordering, we hadn't seen our server again and had watched tables next to us that arrived after us finish their food. The restaurant was almost completely empty at this point.

We finally went up to the counter to see how much longer it would be as the kids were getting restless. ~10 mins later, food came out without a single comment, apology, or pleasantry from our server about the wait.

She never returned to offer refills (water) or bring the check. When we walked up to ask for the check and pay, we inquired about the wait and were told "sometimes the kitchen just decides what food to cook at that time". Again, no apology, no pleasantry.

The food was decent. My biscuits were definitely not fresh but the kids enjoyed their nutella pancakes. It absolutely wasn't worth the $40+ given the wait and treatment...

First two times we ate here was fantastic, the last four times have been terrible. The servers seem to hate us- they aren't friendly, they aren't reciprocal to politeness or gratitude, and they take FOREVER to come back and check on you. The food is only okay, it's typical diner food and not really worth the money. Being a Niles local, we constantly try new food and eat at different restaurants, and this was super disappointing because, like I said, the first two times we ate here (over a year ago) it was great. However, it was almost all different staff, different food presentation, different vibes. It really feels like we're an inconvenience for them, and it also feels like a slap in the face to tip a waiter who we only saw twice, who wasn't friendly in the slightest, and food that was easily 4 dollars more than it should have been. My advice is try being friendly and polite to your customers- ALL your customers, not just...

First time eating here, most likely will be our last. After waiting 45 minutes for our food (basic breakfast dishes), my husband went to see what the problem was. Sever people that arrived after us were finishing their meals and leaving. We're not sure where the problem was, however, 15 minutes later we got our food. My husband's dish came out delicious! My sausage patties came out so hard and crispy I couldnt even eat them. I had ordered rye toast, I received wheat "toast". It was barely toasted. Not buttered, I had to go ask for butter. I understand things happen and orders can get overlooked in the kitchen or whatever, but you should always make sure that your customer leaves happy or at least attempts were made to do so. No one ever checked on us to see how our food was. I like supporting small businesses, but most likely...
