#1. I asked an employee where I could find bakers racks that are advertised on the website. He replied he could not do know what I was talking about because it was not his department and could not contact someone in that department for assistance.
#2. My husband and I purchased a king size mattress. While taking it to the register we passed several employees who did not off assistance. While turning in a narrow corridor we knocked over a vase, which we offered to pay for, at this point shift manager, Karen, proceeded to scream at us for being careless. When I asked for her employee ID number or direct manager she refused to provide that information.
#3. At the register I requested assistance from an employee to take the mattress to my vehicle. We were instructed by front end manager, Cesear, to pull into a fire lane. When we refused to pull into the timeline for legal reasons he insisted he would not leave the store to assist with taking the mattress to our vehicle. He then put his finger in my face and said he did not care if it was a fire lane people do it all the time. My husband defused the situation and Cesear then agreed to being the mattress to our vehicle. Upon exiting the store, the mattress was damaged and when we requested a new undamaged mattress, Cesear then informed us he will only be working at At Home for "two more weeks and could care less if it was damaged it's not his mattress".
I have never experienced such rude and unprofessional employees in any business setting, especially one where customer satisfaction should be a priority.
When I called the corporate office I was informed through an automated service customer care concerns must be emailed for which the wrong email...

Shopping at At Home in Niles is a convenient experience as they offer a wide range of home essentials under one roof. While the store boasts an impressive selection of products, the customer service experience can be a bit hit or miss. At times, I've found that some of the employees at the checkout lack the warmth and friendliness that one would expect during a retail transaction. This can create a somewhat awkward atmosphere, with customers left to navigate the checkout process in silence.
Despite this occasional drawback, there are two standout employees who have make my visits enjoyable with their smile and light conversation common courtesies to the human race with so many retails lack. Halia (I don't know if I am spelling her name correctly I hope I did)and Tom, the cashier, are true gems in the store. Their welcoming smiles, positive attitudes, and exceptional customer service skills have never failed to brighten my day. Interacting with them is always a pleasure, and their professionalism and friendly demeanor truly set them apart. We definitely need more like them. Halia has the attitude of princess poppy it was such a pleasure to meet you today be blessed!
Overall, while the overall customer service experience at At Home in Niles could use some improvement, the presence of exceptional employees like Halia and Tom makes a significant difference. Their outstanding personalities and dedication to providing top-notch service are commendable and greatly enhance the shopping experience at the store.
This is my honest review from my personal...
Read moreI fell in love with this store the moment I stepped inside and have claimed it as my favorite store ever since then. I love the uniqueness & creativity of the layout of the store. I'm also a huge fan of all the different products & the affordable price range that "At Home" offers to it's customers. Now, here is the one & only reason they received 4 stars and not 5. The reason is due to the way that I was treated by a couple of the employees the last time I visited the Niles location. This is also the reason that I haven't been back to the store since then. Which was back in the beginning of the summer. I felt as if I was being treated like a thief and on top of that I was being followed around, gawked at, and rushed. When in all reality I this was the 1st time that I actually had time to look & walk around to check out all the aisles due to my fascination of the entire store. They made me feel completely disrespected and upset. Especially, due to the fact that I take extreme pride in my character values and morals. So, other than that I would have given the store...
