Lappert's Ice Cream & Coffee - Norco — Restaurant in Norco

So sorry, I meant to post a review earlier, and I forgot. I'm a picky ice cream foodie, and I love this place. I only like dark chocolate because I want to taste the chocolate, not the sugar. This one was just dark enough for me but sweet enough that others will like it. Good and creamy. Family loved their flavors, too.

The service was the best. Same guy served me both times and was super friendly and helpful. I ask lots of questions, and so does my friend's kid, and the server was very patient. :) I got his name, but it's been over a month now, so I apologize for forgetting. The first time I went for a pick me up. Long story short, we had pre-evacuated from the LA fires just in case to stay at a friend's. Everything turned out fine for us...we were super lucky. But I had tripped while packing, cracked a tooth, and had to get dental surgery in an unfamiliar city. I was super stressed and hungry and couldn't eat lunch after all the pain and swelling, so I stopped here for a shake. I probably looked like something the cat dragged in. Not only was the server kind and patient and made my day, but he swiped fast through the credit card reader to skip the tip, so I couldn't tip him. I was pretty sure he did it on purpose. Possibly thinking I looked so rough I needed the money more than him. :) But what I really needed was the kindness he'd already served. He didn't know about my bad day or that I was worried about all my friends back home, but he was kind anyway, and it meant a lot.

A few days later, I took my friend and my family back before we went home. He did the same thing again, skipping the tip, so I went back to buy a cookie to try to sneak a tip on there. He just wouldn't let me. Despite our large group seriously taking a ton of time, tasting lots of flavors, and bringing a super inquisitive kid peppering him with questions like, "What's the most popular flavor?" Anyway, he was super kind, made my day twice, and I saw him be nice to other families coming in. So here's a big thank you to him and your crew.

Come for the ice cream, stay for the service, and please try to bring cash to tip these nice folks! We will be coming back whenever we visit our...

The ice cream and the person who helped me at the counter was amazing. This is something you would see in San Francisco or Los Angeles area and so happy we have something like this here. I had purchased the pistachio and macadamia nut ice cream and it both tastes good. The Macadamia nut ice cream has an amazing after taste once it melts in your mouth and everyone has to try it as it’s unbelievable.

The atmosphere inside is clean, sleek, modern and beautiful. It also has a positive vibe.

Will definitely let everyone know about this local place as it is completely worth it and highly recommend this place.

The ice cream and employee were great. The reason for the 1 star is because they didn't not have a box of disposable gloves in sight. It's clear they do not buy them at all. All of the toppings have the scoopers in them so every employees hands are in the toppings. Bare hands touching the bananas for the splits. Skin touching the inside of the ice cream tubs and broken waffle pieces inside the tubs when they scoop them. This is an issue that comes from the top. Spend the money and buy disposable gloves. Their hands do not need to be up in the bananas, toppings, and ice cream itself. And please wash your hands in between...
