In my quest to find somewhere to eat lunch at 3 o’clock in the afternoon I found this captain D’s restaurant. I knew that Captain D’s afford it a discount to either Veterans, Military, and or senior citizens—of which I am all three.

I drove up and try to order with the gas service representative, but for some reason there was communications issues with the speaker and a microphone at the kiosk. So she kindly asked me to come around and she would take my order to the window.

I drove around. I wanted to order a seafood sampler, or whatever it’s called that’s a big large combination meal. She took the order, I asked her kindly about Veterans, Military, or senior discounts. In a very truculent tone of voice, she said “we don’t do discount for military”. I told her I am an AARP member which makes me a senior citizen. She was even more brash, curt, and nasty to me upon showing my card.
I have been afforded this discount, on all three, at the E. Little Creek Rd. location in Norfolk Virginia for years. Why is this location so nasty about this discount?
If it’s because the particular franchise that owns this establishment does not afford discounts as such, they have an awfully nasty way of informing customers...
Read moreThe interior of the restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly. The food is about what you expect from any other Captain D’s. The wait time on the food was very short and the one complaint I have with the food is we ordered a side of popcorn shrimp and the cashier was unsure how to work the POS and add it to the order, so we did not receive it. I was disappointed when I used the men’s restroom because there was two large pieces of feces floating in the toilet, and then I went in there again to change my child’s diaper and there was no changing table in the men’s room, and then my wife discovered that there was not a changing table in the women’s room either. There were several bottles of tartar sauce and shrimp sauce out on the tables with no lids on them (I’m not sure if they are supposed to be refrigerated or not). During the time that we were sitting and eating our meal, one of the employees was sitting in the front of the store playing on their phone. Overall, I will still purchase food from this establishment, but I will definitely be using the drive thru instead of...

If I could sue you for getting this sick, I would be in my lawyer's office Monday morning!!!
On December 6, 2018 someone called me stating they were from corporate and didn't believe my review because the manager said the food was fresh! Straight lying to save his/her job!
