Venue Atmosphere and Ambience The event space at Coalescence Coffee Company was great. The layout was well-organized, providing plenty of room for our guests while maintaining a comfortable, open feel. The overall atmosphere was welcoming and professional, making it an ideal setting for our baby shower event. The existing decor was modern yet casual, and it really complemented the tone we were going for.

Staff and Customer Service The staff at Coalescence Coffee Company were helpful throughout the entire event. Special shout out to JT - who was great and assisted every step of the way. From the initial planning stages to the day of the event, JT was responsive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any questions or special requests. On the day of the event, the team ensured everything ran smoothly, and they were quick to address any issues that arose, allowing us to focus on our program.
Event Services One of the best features of this venue was the fact that we could utilize the existing equipment and furniture, which made things much easier for us. The furniture was in great condition, and the layout was exactly as we had envisioned. Additionally, all the necessary equipment was provided, ensuring that everything from the sound system to the lighting worked seamlessly. The space was set up efficiently, and the staff was on hand to help make adjustments as needed.

Read moreOne should not have to hate themselves to enjoy a cup of coffee. To finish the foul substance I received here, one must be seeking penance for the the most diabolical of sins. For clarity, this is not my first time at this place, I tried it a few months ago and my experience did not improve from that, so here is my take: The atmosphere at this place is quite astringent, perhaps institutional -chic if that's a thing. I expect others may feel more at home in the bright, wide open, environment so no knocks here really but it's just not my taste; I prefer a warmer and more inviting space when I plunk down for some coffee and a couple hours of remote work. The drink itself is where the low stars come in. It took near 15 minutes for two people to make one double espresso; no other orders were made during that time. Much toiling and measuring went into the tiny espresso cup. It would seem the baristas learned how to make coffee in a chemistry lab. I imagine it was made absolutely by the book, should such a book exist. Subsequently, I received a perfectly executed cup of bitter sludge. An espresso, one of my favorite coffee treats, managed to climb to the summit of worst food experiences of my life. On a recent trip to Italy, for a single euro (about 1 USD right now), I could get some of the best espresso I ever tasted at a travel stop. It would be hot and on the counter in moments, without much toiling beyond the muscle memory of attendant working the espresso machine. It only got better at more formal restaurants. Love was built into process over there and I feel that's what this place is missing. Less science and more love could, perhaps, make the necessary improvement. That and dumping whatever roast they are using. I love to see independent businesses thrive. I love good coffee. Ultimately this may just not be my cup of...
Read moreWe had an amazing experience at Coalescence this morning! Got there around 7:30am and the place was perfectly inviting with calm jazz playing and tons of open, socially distanced seating options. The staff was super friendly and went through the whole menu with us to find the perfect drink and food options. The coffee is SUPER reasonably priced! Much less than surrounding coffee shops. This is in part due to the fact that Coalescence is a non-profit. They are able to invest their funds back into the community instead of paying off investors and other business-related expenses. The space is gorgeous and impeccably clean. The staff is eager to make you the perfect drink. And the food- oh my! Absolutely divine. We tried the chive cheddar scone (still warm), the rosemary lemon scone, and the almond cake. It is impossible to pick a favorite, as they were all incredible. But I couldn’t stop going back for more bites of the savory scone. We tried a Tier 3 pour-over & the Miel, as well as a straight shot of espresso, served with mineral water (so fancy!). One of the owners, Jenny, took the time to chat with us about the coffee shop and it’s origins as well as the intentional thought and effort behind each and every detail of the company. We will definitely be frequenting this awesome new gem in the up and coming railroad district (also known as Park Place...
