I drove by this place a few times and told my husband about it since his favorite food is tacos and we went when he got home from out to sea. We were very excited to try it. When we walked in at 7 pm on Friday, there was no customers inside. There were two young men workers behind the counter next to each other laughing both wearing headphones. They did not greet us nor acknowledge. we looked at the specials board and it said every day between 4 and 9 you buy either too hard or two soft tacos and get the third one free. My husband and I decided we would both get this. I then asked them a question and they ignored me, I asked again and they still ignored me and wouldn't look at methen the third time they took their headphones out so I guess could hear me better even though they definitely saw us because they were then standing 5 feet away. I told them that we wanted the special and wanted soft tacos and they told me that they did not do soft tacos for the deal. I told him that that is what was on the sign and he just shook his head no. I was very confused by this since it was clearly on the sign which I will add a picture of. He was getting aggravated clearly but I asked again because I was so confused because it was on the sign! He just wanted to tell me no and that was the end of it. I kept trying to understand by asking him why is it on the sign but he just shrugged his shoulders.I was obviously disappointed by this because it's false advertisement and I have no idea why they have it on there however, we decided to just get two tacos each then and I got a side of rice. When we were about to check out, my husband asked him again and he sighed and didn't say anything and walked in the back to I imagined speak to someone and then came back and told me know once again. We said you shouldn't have it on the sign then and I'm very confused as to why it's on there.. That's straight out lying to people. If he would have explained it maybe it being a mistake or whatever it may be in a kind way instead of acting very irritated and just staring at me not speaking like I'm an idiot or an alien it wouldn't have been so bad. Although, I still tipped him and we left still excited to try the food. I got the Mexican rice which tasted just like white rice with oil on it. I wasn't very fond of the beef at all but my husband loved the chicken. I work in food service and I know the importance of customer service as it is very important to me personally. It will decide if I frequent a place again. My husband and I were talking about it on the way home and how important it was and that we would probably not be going back even if the food was good because of the service and of them lying on the sign and not explaining it when I asked a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI rarely leave negative reviews but..... I will NEVER order from this place again. First off, they charge 13% sales tax and the max limit for Norfolk is: 11.5%. Their address is clearly in Norfolk and not in VB. That and they tack on 3.5% processing fee. Norfolk city treasurer, come investigate. I had a large order, actually only for 4 people, but ended up spending $103.66??????? More reasons I will not return: They added a dollar for guacamole. Menu doesn't state guacamole is an extra charge. They charged me $1.59 for consome for my birria quesadilla. Looking at the pic I provided, I did not get any consome. I was PISSED when I got home an discovered this. They charged me $9.96 for a large order of rice and $9.96 for a large order of refried beans where their menu CLEARLY states it's $2.49 for each. I argued that fact with them but the girl at the register wouldn't budge so now it's going on their review. They charged me $1.96 for 4 habenero salsas where this charge is not found anywhere on their menu. They also charge $.50 for half a lime? Who does that? Oh, I know, This place. Doing a large order at their ridiculous window is kind of impossible. Fine if you're coming in for lunch and maybe ordering a combo or 2 items but the person taking the order wouldn't take a whole large order. I had to piece the whole order together in between other people ordering. That and they don't understand English and don't even know their own pricing or portions. Once again, never coming back. I don't care if they fix all this crap or get shut down for false advertisements...
