Update: I came back twice since my review (don’t judge, my family really likes burgers).
The chef has burned the Impossible burgers each time since then. I brought my coworkers there for lunch today and they burned all their burgers too.
The kitchen staff is still struggling with learning how to cook these even after I shared with the waitress last night that the kitchen needs to lighten up on cooking this special variety of burger.
It’s disappointing that they’re one of the few places around serving this product, they charge more for it, and yet it’s made at sub-par quality.
I gave Tap It Local a try today and I did not regret it.
Being tired of the typical downtown food choices I wanted a hearty yet vegetarian lunch so I ordered an Impossible burger for pickup.
The lady I spoke with was kind, patient, and helpful.
She told me they make any of their burgers with the Impossible meat if the customer likes. Awesome! All the restaurants serving this burger I’ve been to so far haven’t offered this option so I was thrilled for the choices.
When I got there to pick it up the food was indeed ready in 15 minutes like she said it would be and the kind gentleman who handed me the order mentioned he’d even put vegan cheese on it for me.
That wasn’t necessary since I’m not a full vegan, but it showed a great attention to detail and customer service.
Great job guy!
Then, when I got back to the office and finally opened the carefully-packaged food I couldn’t believe how large the portions were of both the burger and the fries.
I can’t wait to bring my...
Read moreAllergy sufferers beware! The incompetence shown by the waitstaff and chef in regards to the allergens in our party was appalling. I have severe soy and nut allergies, which our waitress glossed over whilst I was ordering. It did not appear our waitress even attempted to check if my food had soy. Another member of my party has a severe gluten allergy and made it VERY CLEAR that she was not to have anything that even come close to touching gluten. She ordered a lettuce wrapped burger. This is a brewery of course, and beer is a cesspool of gluten. Therefore if something is cooked in beer it has gluten in it. We made sure to specifically ask our waitress to verbally speak to the chef to ensure that there was no gluten in the food on three occasions, which was easy to do since we waited for an hour for our food to arrive. When it DID eventually arrive, her burger was wrapped in a green flour tortilla. She cancelled the order and proceeded to attempt to eat her green beans. She immediately ran to the bathroom, spit it out, and rinsed her mouth after the first bite. The green beans had been cooked in beer and thankfully, she could taste it. She could not eat anything, and the restaurant attempted to charge her for the green beans they nearly killed her with. With regards to my soy allergy, we have only recently left and as of now, I am alive, but I will update this if...
Read moreThis location seemed to be a decent spot to visit they had a band performing. It wasn’t until we went upstairs to the area where they have the games at where it turned bad. They had very slippery floors up there and NO WET FLOOR SIGNS! in the beer pong area is where it was the worst and that’s where signs should of been up at. Well my boyfriend ended up falling trying to catch the ball and slipped on the slippery area and hurt his jaw. I asked security if management was there and he directed me to a man with dreads. That guy directed me to the lady upstairs who claimed “well it’s just me up here and it’s nothing I can do about that” meanwhile I’m just trying to let her know so others will not get hurt. It wasn’t until after that that someone put a wet floor sign up! AND DIDNT EVEN PUT THE SIGN UP IN THE RIGHT SPOT! It is very careless and poor customer service to not even try to take anyone’s information or anything for precautions. No one cared. I guess that’s natural when you just work there! DO BETTER ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS IN GENERAL! This is a easy way to end up in...
