The Annex — Restaurant in Norfolk

We attended a concert at The Annex last night, The Hookz and Lua Flora. The food was delicious and they have a large selection of beers. The acoustics were good for a warehouse style venue. We arrived just as the Hookz were starting and we're able to get a table in the restaurant bar where we could hear the band. Later we moved to the room where the stage was located. It is rare that you find a dedicated venue where food and drink aren’t just an afterthought. Literally one of the best chicken sandwiches in Norfolk.

I’m so happy that this venue exists. It is a severely needed entity that brings a demographic of artists that usually pass over the 757 for DC or Raleigh instead. First time coming here and was pleasantly surprised how well the in house brewed beer was and at a fair cost unlike many other breweries. We attended a show called No BS Brass, tried the spin duo and had a few beers each. The only complaint was that while sitting at the bar eating and drinking we never got serviced. No one asked if our food was good. And every time I wanted a beer had to get up from the bar and stand in line...
