Brewe-Ha's — Restaurant in Normal

Always have enjoyed brewhas until today when I meet the rudest bartender I've had in my whole existence. Came into this establishment I've been at multiple times since Covid mask requirements were made. Never once has anyone ever been wearing a mask in there, even when it was so packed its shoulder to shoulder standing room only. But today with approx 15 people in the bar this tall blonde waitress insisted we put on our masks, which we happily did. Then she proceeded to insult us and tell us we should know better and dont respect others ect. It was so rude I honestly thought she was joking at first but once I realized she wasnt I decided to let it go. We then ordered 2 beers at the table. She told us we needed to put on our masks and go to the bar if we expected drinks. Was so blown away we proceeded tell her to just forget it we'll go somewhere else. She then proceeds to complain and shout at us while leaving . Honestly dont even know what happened here or why someone in the service industry would ever think it's okay to treat good paying customers with such disrespect. Wont be back until she no longer works there....

As my coworker and I walked up to the place, a younger Caucasian man suddenly called us the N-word, his voice cutting through the air like a slap. My coworker, who is African-American, and I exchanged a glance, both feeling the weight of what had just happened. Stepping inside, the atmosphere felt immediately off—haunting, unwelcoming, as if every gaze in the room carried an unspoken message that we didn’t belong. I met some friends up there and I waited about 15 minutes before I walk to the bar to ask for service at my table which in her defense my table had already ordered I was an addition. I was met with a snotty attitude and when she came to my table was aggressively passive. I told her she didn't need to give me an attitude then threw her hands in the air walked away and screamed for her manager or someone by name. I just ended up leaving. My experience is that I was a server for 20 years in addition to bartending. I normally won't give a place a bad review but I'm just not having a good day and Google asked me to do this so I could level up....
