Super Gyros — Restaurant in Normal

I have been going to Super Gyros for many years now. The quality of the food is very good and for a reasonable price but what keeps me coming back is the amazing service. Muhammad is so welcoming and friendly. He knows exactly what I'm going to have. He doesnt forget. I like supporting the local owned business and appreciate the excellent service. I go there for the italian beef which another restaurant close by is also well-known for & is Chicago staple and that the city of Normal paid to locate here but doesnt come close to the taste and price that I get from Super Gyro. Went through the drive thru and ordered a chicken Philly a gyro combo both no tomatoes and an Italian beef dry 3 orders of cheese fries when we got the food home the chicken Philly and the gyro both had tomatoes the cheese sauce was burnt to the inside of the foam cup the fries were old the food was disgusting. I called to see if we could get it remade and the person working immediately started yelling at me telling me I didn't tell him no tomatoes. He called me a liar and hung up on me before I could even tell him about the burnt cheese sauce or the fries. The food is disgusting. I will never eat here again. 0 out of 10 do not recommend. I know that small businesses have to survive, but you can't do that by skyrocketing your prices. Stopped there last week and paid $20.00 just for a meal for myself. That same meal would've costed me $14.00 at another establishment similar to this one. You can tell the prices jumped higher because the menu board has the old prices covered. The Gyros did not taste fresh like they were cut off the spit. I believe they are packaged now and that's unfortunate, and certainly not worthy of being called "Super."
