The Hair Den — Local services in North Bergen

First time at The Hair Den today and am I thrilled! I chose this salon because of all the excellent reviews and location and I am not disappointed whatsoever! The salon is clean, nicely decorated and easy to find - right off of River Road - and parking is not a problem which is a huge plus as I stopped going to the salon I had been going to for years and years in Hoboken because of parking and also the prices. Well, the upscale salon in Hoboken I just mentioned MONIQUE HAD WORKED THERE FOR MANY YEARS! This should put everyone that is new and considering The Hair Den at ease as Monique is a true professional with a great deal of experience. Her salon "extras" are similar to the Hoboken salon such as warm towels, a fabulous head and neck massage, water, tea, coffee, wine, etc.

The price difference for a style and cut is 23% less expensive than the former salon and that, to me, is significant. The front desk girl also had worked at the salon in Hoboken and she is welcoming and as nice as anyone could be when you walk in the front door. She actually is happy to see you.

Appointments are on time (yes I did say on time) and you are not rushed and Monique askes detailed questions about your hair and what you want and expect from her. You can just tell by her mannerisms that she is a professional with years and years of experience and probably worked on every possible type of hair. Her skill comes out with the finished project.

I am over the moon with my results and my daughter (who lives in Long Island City and is super picky about her long hair) is making an appointment with The Hair Den as soon as she saw my pictures a few hours ago. If she can approve of my hair and make an appointment for herself then you sure can!

PS - everyone (including you) wear a mask for the duration of your time in the salon; temperature is taken upon arrival, hand sanitizers all over the place. ...

Have been in this area for over 2 years and I was very unhappy with the prior salon until the universe presented Monique in front of me! Life changing situation for me, who doesn’t love their hair? To me it is my #1 priority when it comes to beauty and she has achieve all my expectations! Her way of mixing up the right products to come out with the perfect color for your hair, goes above and beyond anything I could ever dreamed of! With my eyes close, I recommend Monique, now she does my mom’s hair, my daughter, my husband, increíble!
